This movie is giving me huge COD Modern Warfare vibes with how everything is going down and i mean the recent MW that came out a few years ago cuz very similar stuff happens in the game like how it's happening in this movie. In the game, their mission is just outside of the U.S. border in Mexico where they're trying to capture a major cartel boss who's allied with a terrorist organization group that's operating in the U.S. and causing chaos everywhere because they're being smuggled into the country. It's more ironic that even in MW your partner is named Alejandro, although he's not an assassin like this guy, he's Mexican Special Forces who formed his own group "Los Vaqueros" who hunt down anyone important to the cartel and any terroristic threat. Kinda makes me wonder if the remade MW was inspired by this movie and a few others. Regardless if it was or not, this still serves as a good piece of entertainment cuz it shows just how quickly things can go bad from 1 to 1,000 in the blink if an eye.

While I doubt the exact details are one for one true, the movie itself is realistic in the sense that operatives get involved with stuff they really shouldn’t be involved with from a moral perspective but operate with an “ends justify the means” mentality. The scene that shows special forces/agencies working together to run ghost operations is fairly realistic. Source: I was stationed in D.C. while active duty army.
