I have CFS and I was just on a 2am spree of watching film theories I haven’t seen yet since I can’t sleep and I was actually shocked when you mentioned CFS. CFS doesn’t get talked about a lot and we’re constantly dismissed by medical professionals as just depressed or stressed out or hysterical, so it made me smile when I heard you factually talking about it. You seem to understand it better than literally every doctor I’ve seen. I was kind of like the grinch at first, struggled with walking, noise, light, lots of people, breathing, heart rate, all of that, and now it’s at the point that I can only get around in a power chair and I can’t do anything independently anymore. It’s just nice to see it being recognised as a real thing and a possible reason behind someone being a bit of a ‘grinch,’ when he’s actually been going through it all along. I originally thought that the Grinch had PTSD. When watching the Grinch re-boot I noticed that it gives a flashback of when the grinch was a child, this showed him being neglected by The Who’s on Christmas Day, and and also being made fun of by who children. I think that, all the neglect he got at such a young age made him develop a dislike for Christmas. Also I can I just point out how well the re-boot represents an anxiety attack in public. It was so well done and it touched my heart so much I almost started to cry in the theater. Thank you for reading this comrade.

Can confirm the whole silent heart attack thing. When my dad had his fatal heart attack last year his only symptom was fatigue for three days. He just thought the heat had gotten to him since we had a heatwave of 115° a couple weeks prior he didn't realize something was actually truly wrong until he was slipping into cardiac arrest.

CHRISTMAS THEORY IDEA: Rudolph’s nose. Is it possible? I kinda figure it is, because of bioluminescence, but what would he use it for? What did his parents suffer through (plus many a generation before them) that cause their son to have a nose that glows? Bioluminescence, sure, but WHY? The other reindeer freak out when they see him, so it’s not for attracting mates. It’s not for defense as it lures the abominable to him all the time. It’s not to attract food because he’s a herbivore! I would say “plot convenience” but A) it was a song first and B) this is the theorist channel. Those explanations just aren’t fun at all.

When the Grinch had all the presents, feasts, and decorations at the top of the mountain, he heard the Whos down in Whoville, and they were not lamenting the theft--they were gathered around the town square, holding hands, singing, welcoming Christmas just as they would have had there been presents. After realizing that Christmas "came without presents. It came without tags It came without packages, boxes, or bags." And then the Grinch realized something he hadn't before, something the Whos knew all along: "Christmas didn't come from a store. Maybe Christmas, he thought, means a little bit more."

Le Bron James that is only a plot point in the Jim Carrey version, in the book and animated short it is strongly implied that the Whos already know that Christmas is more than just presents and other material items. The Grinch has his redemption because he realizes that he can’t break their spirit because they already believe that Christmas is more than the items that the Grinch stole which was why in those versions they still sing their song even though all of them have been robbed.

You make a mistake when you assume the physical issues that a human would have apply to the Grinch. Not because of the cosmetic differences between humans and the Grinch, but because of something _far_ more important: the difference in *size.* The physics that apply to us don't apply on the same scale to him because he is MUCH smaller than we are. In addition to How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Whoville appears in another Dr. Seuss book, Horton Hears a Who! In *this* book, we learn that the entire city of Whoville and the surrounding countryside are located on a single speck of dust. The Whos, the Grinch, Max, the presents, and everything else in Whoville are literally _microscopic_ in size. Because mass increases on a cube, but strength increases on a square (due to it being based on the cross-section of musculature), the Grinch would be incredibly strong for his build. In fact, he should be MUCH stronger at the outset than he appears at the end. It's questionable that his activities that night would ever be able to make him tired, and his heart might easily be able to withstand the growth, especially since there's no chance that it's pumping anything we would say resembles blood (the blood cells would be too big to get through his veins). There is a possibility that he is kept alive by metabolizing VOOM, the substance contained within the hat of Little Cat Z from The Cat In the Hat Comes Back. VOOM enabled Little Cat Z, who, like the Whos and the Grinch, is microscopic (to the point that he cannot be seen with the unaided eye) to travel comparatively unfathomable distances in a very tiny period of time and remove a substance millions of times more massive than all of Whoville, let alone the presents. Unfortunately, scientists have yet to secure a sample of VOOM for analysis. It really is so hard to get.
