Seeing Wesley Snipes as Blade brought tears of happiness to my eyes.

He was so good. I rewatched all 3 films and Wesley has such charisma even behind the trademark sunglasses. Blade 1 and 2 are such a great time. Watching Blade Trinity on a whim was a good choice since I didn't think I'd see Blade again on the big screen, only to find him in the Void of all places!!

I'm happy that Gambit was an actual bad ass and not just a punchline and someone who died right away. That was surprising and made me very happy.
@cornbredx
@cornbredx 2 ай бұрын
He was still a punchline: because Channing Tatum is not the right person to play Gambit. But it was cool to see him fight like Gambit (at first you don't see his staff, and I was concerned, but then as it pans out you see him kinetic charging it up and I was satisfied). I am a huge Gambit fan, I still have the first run of comics solely about Gambit that I got at Disneyland in the mid 90s or whatever it was. But, while fun, this still wasn't Gambit. Sadly I don't think Gambit will ever be used properly in a movie. At least not in my lifetime. Oh well.
@troua2001
@troua2001 2 ай бұрын
@@cornbredx same. The staff being added was nice. The fight scenes were okay too. Accent was definitely the punchline. The worst was the look. Channing looked to fat (don't know whether that could be fixed with just diet/work out). Costume also looked to shiny/clean. His kinetic powers also seem too powdery.

I love how Reynolds and Co. didn’t pull punches in the 4th wall jokes. Made fun of the woke, made fun of the alt-rights, made fun of the multiverse and the current state of Marvel. It’s impressive they convinced Feige to deviate and get balls deep into the sauce. The gore, the sex innuendo, irreverent and inappropriate, it makes fun of himself Edit: Seeing Wesley reappear as Blade was a lovely surprise, he did fantastic. Favorite character growing up

When Deadpool says how were we going to bring back Logan without hurting the Logan movie as he is using the bones of Logan to beat up and kill the TVA
@BudreauxJack
@BudreauxJack 2 ай бұрын
Chris, you don't get it - when Deadpool is trying to save 'his' universe/ timeline, it's an analogy for the X-men franchise. The TVA said that when Deadpool's universe lost it's anchor being, Wolverine, it was going to come to an end - which is true, the X-men franchise without Logan is lame. So, Deadpool went out and found another Wolverine, and Ryan Reynolds just saved the X-men franchise.

I can't believe Ryan didn't think to use the photo Deadpool was carrying around like Marty did in Back to the Future but instead went with the "disappearing branches on a monitor" route instead. It's so obvious. That would have solved the issue connecting the audience with the cost of failure. Show not tell.

everyone seems to be missing what this movie is really about, on a meta level. it's not about "saving the MCU" or even telling a complex important story. it's about saving the Fox X-MEN universe! we all thought that universe was done. after Wolverine had died in LOGAN, we got DARK PHOENIX (awful) and THE NEW MUTANTS (actually pretty good). and DEADPOOL 2, which was also pretty good. but the universe as such was over, or so we thought. that's what the whole thing about the Anchor Being is about. Logan died, and then the X-MEN universe (Earth-10005) kept on going for a few more movies before Fox was bought by Disney and everyone assumed that the 10005 universe was done. but now they've saved it. the 10005 timeline has a Wolverine again, and on a meta level this means that they can make more X-MEN movies in this universe. they don't even need to bring the X-Men into the 616 MCU at all, which would be difficult to say the least. the Marvel Cinematic Multiverse now has a place for Avengers movies (616) and a place for X-Men movies (10005), and if needed they can cross-over as well. most people don't seem to have understood the significance of this development.

Saw the movie last night in 3D, my first Marvel film since End Game (I believed the title) so waited till after to watch this video. RR gave the public what they wanted - a great time filled with lots of fights, cameos that meant a damn and salty humor. The TVA was the only real drag on the film, too bad it wasn't utterly destroyed. When Paradox was squeaking about his broken nose, Deadpool should have drilled him again. I give it an 8 out of 10, a few bumps in the road as to the script, nowhere near enough Morena Baccarin, and the only music I really liked was AC/DC. Other than that, very pleased and planning on seeing it again soon.

Thats how I felt after watching this and similarly to how I felt after watching Spiderman No Way Home. Never thought I’d see all the cameos again, even Electra driving a freaking family van lol. My wife has watched all the Deadpool movies and loved them all. And she’s not a comic book fan nor MCU lover. Ryan and company did their jobs. Legacy and substance matters Disney. Over all the movie was a little fat in the middle which dragged but overall 8/10

Chris, its not that you said the spoilers in the last video, its that you titled it a non spoiler review. 😄 Its all good. I already saw the movie before I watched that video. I was just surprised how much you said... you know. 🤷‍♂️ I prefer spoiler reviews anyway, but im an oddity. I write about stuff so I just like to hear what other people think. I have opinions on reviews that most dont align with. For me you dont have to say anything about a movie to review it, but technically most people just want to be able to tell people if they liked a movie or not so they need to tell people what happens in the movie and give commentary on that. It's whatever. Thats not a review to me, but thats ok. A lot of people do it. To me, though, if you need to discuss movies that way- just do spoilers. You have to at that point. I still enjoy hearing what you and Allen have to say about movies. 🙂 Thats why I'm here.

I don’t understand why people get upset at movie reviews, when it clearly contains the word “spoilers!” on the title before clicking on the video? I feel like nobody reads anymore. People were accustomed to reading just the title of an article, and not the article itself. And now, they can’t be bothered to fully read a title. Shame how lazy we’ve become… wait, what am I saying? Nobody will reach the bottom of this post, bc it’s too long. Probably fell asleep after reading the first line. Well, here goes… when it rains i sit by the window, leaning my head against the glass as I gaze upon the clouds contemplating about life. Moments after, i shed a single tear into a small bottle, in which, I label and place onto a shelf with the rest of my accumulated memories captured within a single drop. ~ fin

The plot was hot garbage. It was "so the movie could happen." However, I loved it. Loved the cameos, loved the reel during the credits. I'm going to see it again for sure.

My IMDB review of this wasn't super flattering. BASICALLY, I just said; great chemistry, terrible story, a movie for fans of the comics, movies and supplemental material, not made with mass appeal in mind.

I just felt underwhelmed after I walked out. The characters just didn't do anything for me. Deadpool has no arch in this movie. It's stinks because I really want a good story for him. I did love the action, the humor, and the spectacle though. It just felt cheap in the end after seeing all those cameos

Am I reaching? This movie felt like a slight to disney. Example. Wesley saying there is only 1 Blade. Many more jabs like that.
