Has the leather handle held up? Or did it break? Can you actually use the letter handle to carry the bag around?

It’s held up fine. It does look and feel flimsy though. I use the handle to lift the bag for short periods but I do try to be careful with it.

Great review! I agree, the pricing is a bit absurd considering they outsourced production. I understand the company has traded ownership quite a bit in the last few decades so it is more of a “lifestyle” brand. I own many backpacks but have yet to try the Journeyman but I do see the appeal and share the same sentiments regarding the aesthetics and how adult it looks with the added functionality. Thank’s for taking the time. Not many reviews on this newer iteration out there.

Thanks, that’s nice of you to say. I am really impressed with the quality. In terms of it being a lifestyle brand, I guess that has been the case for a long period of time, even when made in America. Some have said that they prefer the non-American version, but I can’t comment obvs.

Great Review! How are you finding it after a month of use? They have a sale on this for £288 at the moment but I’m torn between this and the Filson Dryden.

I love it! Really hard wearing, I love the huge front pocket and I find it really comfortable on the back. Haven’t got a bad thing to say about it except for the flimsy leather handle.

Who's selling a Journeyman for £288???

You have massively overstuffed that front pouch at the end 😂 but some lovely shots that help me chose which colour to go for

Tbh one of my favourite things about the bag is how big the front pouch is. I probably do overstuff it, but find it very useful, though it does bulge so not the best for the rain. Thanks for the kind words!

I managed to snag one on eBay. Love the look! My main downside is how hot the back gets on a summers day.

@@channo3852 Yes I think that would be the case with any backpack though tbf.
