Good luck - LON is excellent for hardcore Necro as you can really stack toughness. Just be careful with some of the tips that I dish out, they usually involve pushing damage way past toughness levels

the mats u get from challenge rift bag are enough to craft ancient reapers wraps with around 80% chance, might be a good way to get an early ancient

Never played LON before...so if I understand this correctly, you cannot have any set bonuses equiped...meaning you can't wear your 6pcs class set bonus or your 2pc mh and oh bonus if order for this to work? You can only equip random mismatched ancient or primal items?

Yep. Any set bonus active will cancel the LON buff. You can still use set pieces but only one of each set otherwise you will have 2 pieces and activate a bonus The trick is to find items that work together, so in essence a bespoke build. Good luck

GREAT video, I learned allot since I have ever played any LON setup...but shouldn't I get my full set before i go LON? I want to try a Witch Doctor and an curious about that Jade Harvester Set and would like to see what it does...before I start any LON builds?!

Matt Wilson Thanks - I’ve done a Jade guide, so check that out T8 with one ancient is a hefty jump though. I think Necro will be quicker, but there might not be that much in it Witch Doctor also a great class 😃

You can get dagger of darts pretty early and once you get carnevil, cube them, wear whatever ancients drop at first and throw on a unity and youll be speed farming t13’s very early, carnevil is that strong and surprisingly dodged the nerf, i think mostly because it was fixed right before ptr ended so coupdnt be fully tested in PTR, but i tried it right before it ended and it was dumb strong

Charles Sherman it should be a good build this season, with the rings slots open it will go higher Once I’ve got the pieces I will hopefully make an updated guide - also, Inarius poison scythe will be strong too

Solid video, thanks! Playing hardcore, would you recommend going for lon right away? After watching this, both lon and using rare to legendary on a 1h scythe instead of 2h seems like a better option

DVD For HC one LON piece and other multipliers will sort your damage out, but you’ll just have to be careful and go all out for damage reduction items at the start Inarius set more important for HC as it gives a decent damage reduction, esp if you find a wisdom of kalan

I tried it for an hour this morning and it seemed fine, but I’ll look into that Don’t think the bonestorm gets the 10k buff, which is my lazy mancer doesn’t work It’s also Necro, so squishy as hell and not much option to avoid damage as you need to be in melee range to tag them Still, it’s way better than it was and I’ve got a day one T16 build that hopefully I can make today

I will go asap for siphon/iron rose because it look so cool an collecting my ancients as i go. I will also give CE a shot. Cannot wait 2 c updated necro starter :D And what about Ratham...i also remember something its changed somehow in s17 but couldnt find anything in patch notes... Cheers mate!

JaCeK Rathma went up on PTR but they confirmed it was a bug I’d expect it to catch a buff at some point either next season or one after. Can’t have Inarius at 10k, it’s way out of line now with the other Necro sets

Is there a Simple way to figure out which stats are Additive or Multiplicative? I just can't figure out why LON 750 +750 =1500, but The weapon is 750 x 200 not 750 +200? How does this all work? lol

It is the way that it is phrased on the items. LoN says you gain 750 per item, making any item after the first an additive. Most items says that x skill gets a certain %, meaning that it takes the damage of the skill and rune and multiplies it by whatever the item says.

RiceRunner128 non season you need the rings Season 17 it’s 750 per ancient item so don’t think you get any extra benefit from them 👍🏻

How are you going to get 6 ancients at 70 before you get the season done? You dont have any mats to reforge and its a 1 in 10 for an ancient. Doing the season to get a 6 piece mulitiplier is what allows you to farm high torments for mats and legendary drops. This seems extermely tedious and counterproductive.

Depends on R and G which will be quicker. With just one ancient you can jump through the torments and will get more drops You can also craft some legendary items and 1 in 10 will drop as ancient Good luck

Thanks Pascal - I've thought about it, but it would be a mega amount of work, which I'm unlikely to get to before Friday. This season I think I'll do on PC, it's just so much easier to make build videos due to the UI

My mate who's known for having crazy luck got his entire build bis ancients on our first day of farming rifts, before he even hit 150 paragon. He's been boosting the living shit out of us now

True, the additive nature of the LoN bonus has diminishing returns, but at least the damage reduction is additive too.
