Perfect sky. Not blown out, clouds defined, sky is blue. See, it can do it! That exposure wheel on the remote exists for good reason. In fact, playing videos on my 4K tv directly from the micro SD card look better than my eyes see in real life.

I keep re-watching this. Ingredients: Nature was dishing this day, your great fortune to live here, your abilities to manage the aircraft and capture. You got the big box of crayons open. Color choices were spot on, illustrating the enormous POTENTIAL of the Fimi X8SE here. This is hugely inspiring. I particularly love the sun and cloud interplay. Outstanding! I have lakes near, awaiting me when my skills match my filming ambition.

One of the best video of Fimi X8 2020. The Fimi owner's doesn't know how to edit the images.
@robertheim3522 жыл бұрын
Nice play time. I like the true life such as 5:22 but it's fun watch the variations. My Fimi video has a "stutter" when in Yaw motion and also when I pan the gimbal's angle. I studied the raw frames carefully and found that each stutter was a repeated frame as if the motion had paused and doubled that one shot. It doesn't appear to be directly related to the rate of change (motion) or the camera shutter speed setting. The artifact also doesn't appear to be related to the FPS, but it may be worse at 60FPS than at 30FPS; I need to experiment more to characterize that. I can filter the artifact out with a stabilization analysis in Shotcut, but that is very time consuming so I would like to learn how to avoid the problem in my raw video. Thanks much for any feedback!
@QCGUY2 жыл бұрын
Thanks 😊 I never messed with the FIMI raw format and don’t see a lot of people using it that I noticed anyhow. Changing your frame rate would be a good comparison to what you explained I think.

May I ask which setting or color grading are you using @0:17? the color and sharpness are perfect on that one. Owned it for 2 weeks, 9 flights so far with tons of video, getting an hour of footage on 2 batteries and I have it max'd to 5km range and 500m height. 500m height no problem, i am getting maybe 2.5km range however i am in northern cal suburbia, i did buy the antenna extensions, super cheap but they do make a big difference in preventing it defaulting to "fail safe return" way too early. Sport mode is super fast and the gimbal is very good. Really good drone and i would rate well above the DJI mavic mini. Best drone on the market right now is Autel Evo 2, then the DJI mavic pro 2 .... .and I think this Fimi 2020 is a super close 3rd, maybe i got a good one based on other reivews. very very good value for $$$'s at $400 and very very wind capable, will post footage from Bodega bay and out at Farallon islands soon in tough conditions. P.S. the controller on this thing is the best i have used.

Chris - Enjoyed the video. I have a Fimi X8 SE 2020 (first drone!). I bought it as an entry level camera drone and am interested in improving my videography skills. At the moment, I am editing with a very old (15 years or more) Toshiba laptop and using the free Windows video editor that came after I recently updated to Windows 10. This editor is very cumbersome and slow! I am shooting in 1080p with the drone so that I can review my videos on my HD TV. I would like to ask for your recommendations on a computer to use for editing 4K? Perhaps you could share what you are using for editing or consider a video devoted to editing recommendations? I am interested in purchasing a new computer and value your opinion. I made the Fimi choice after following your Hubsan videos. Your initial impression of the Fimi several months ago helped seal the purchase decision for me. I have had very good luck so far with this quad! Thanks, in advance, Bob.
@JoshMcB4 жыл бұрын
Hey Bob, couple tips : Get proper editing software such as premiere Pro, Sony Vegas etc. Even a mid-tier pc can technically edit 4k footage, the trick is to 'preview' at 10%,25% resolution so that weaker machines can keep up, and only for the final render will you set the output at 4k. (the render time will vary depending on the specs of your machine.) if you wanna edit quickly and efficiently, remember the Holy trinity of CPU, GPU, RAM. faster cpu means you can render you final video quicker. faster gpu means you can edit your video at higher quality in real time. having enough ram allows the program to make full use of your computers resources and memory. use a service like ibuypower.com to customise your own prebuild pc. You must have incredible patience to edit on a 15 year old laptop, I'd rather use even a smartphone at that point.

Hey Bob, if you want to discuss a system and software you should message me. There are a few factors to consider in the new purchase of computers and software.
