Yes, I'm new with this drone. Mine came with a USB memory stick. The only USB port is in the controller to connect to device. Not sure what the stick may be used for. Maybe download video from drone's micro memory card?

It just occurred to me, that thumb drive may actually be a card reader. Does it have slots in it to insert a memory card? If so, that would be used to download your videos and photos to your computer. You remove the TF memory card from the drone, insert it into the card reader, then plug into your computer. It will then show up as a drive on your computer. The cards videos can then be accessed and copied to your computer.

What is the circle on the bottom left at 30:42 on the app screen with the red triangle and how is that feature used?

That is a really neat feature that you see on some GPS drone apps. It helps you to maintain orientation between the drone and yourself so that you can manually fly it without needing FPV. The blue center circle is your position, and the white rays emanating from it is the direction that you're facing. The red arrow is the drone and its orientation from you. Point of the arrow is the direction that the drone is facing. Finally the outer circle is a compass circle, with North noted by the N. So in that instant, I was facing South. The drone was in front of me, and slightly left of my position. The drone was somewhat pointed toward me facing North. So to fly it back in that instant, I would merely need to fly forward.

greetings, I bought the x8 v2 and I'm waiting for it to arrive, I see that it's a great drone, I'm interested in whether the radius can be adjusted more/less and if some other mode is needed in strong wind, I'm afraid when it spins that it won't crash into something, thanks

It's an excellent drone. Just make sure to use a phone with a good processor with it. The app is very processor intensive, and has problems running properly on older phones.

No brand gives exactly what they claim until you're in ideal location and conditions, it's all dependant upon surrounding wifi interference, humidity and other variables. The takeaway is more stable connection for a longer distance, it's all subjective to the area and surrounding interferences. Potentially yes in ideal conditions it could offer that range but generally about half is normal in normal surroundings.

There is a video of a Russian guy taking it to max 10km distance. He had two batteries though. But the point is he had full control of the drone.

Are you registering under the exception for recreational fliers? Or under commercial pilots Part 107 ?

It supposedly does have standard remote ID. But there's nothing in the manual that shows how to activate it. Either way, remote ID doesn't go online until Sept 23, 2023. And I have doubts that it will be ready even by that date.

My controller broke for my 2020 fimi x8 se and I can't find a replacement anywhere! any help or advice? everyone states the 2022 remote controller wont work with the 2020 even thou they look almost identical.

Itay still have it. I don't know what "Lock" track does. I ran out of battery power before I had a chance to try it.

@@Quadcopter101 Fimi A3 controller has built-in GPS which makes it very accurate. They should have made a Fimi A3 Mini. For optical active-track you need a lot of processor power. Especially if you want to have it fly next or in front of you. Then it has to recognize all different kind of shapes like human, car etc. And with obstacle avoidance it gets even worse. I much rather have GPS follow-me where it stays in compass position without yawing the camera at you. Not that I am against optical active track. But it should have both!

FIMI X8 SE V2 is a Very cool drone for the money for what you get that most drones do not have like SAR, megaphone, drop latch and landing lights, rain resistant etc. !!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have the x8 se 2022 v1 ..it’s a fantastic drone much better in all was then my 2020 ….if you want a really good long range basic camera drone that’s nearly wind proof and rain proof that won’t break the bank then go for it the V2 with there next tx10 controller looks like a great deal …
