I currently have A Real Pain out of the 10 because I just don't see people putting it higher on their ballots than 9 or 10 or just forgetting it as the passion for it in Best Picture just isn't there as much as in screenplay/supporting actor. Sing Sing and Nickel Boys both have voters which will put it in there top five, even if they miss some other people's ballots, because those that have seen it the passion is there for a lot of people.

Before putting Stan in, you should note that he only got into places where he did't vote split. His performances were in separate categories at GG and only 'The Apprentice' was longlisted at BAFTA. Without a shortlist at the Oscars, he's potentially still splitting votes there. That said, it's still baffling that Craig missed BAFTA with 6 slots available.

I think it's a great list of Oscar contenders. I just think the frontrunners (i.e. the brutalist and Anora) are vastly overrated. The brutallist is just a slog through get through and Anora is just nothing special. I would be happy if any of the others won. They are bring something new besides those two

this year oscar rating will be so bad i dont blame the movie, you can seen the movies too. there is no popular movie that stand out for people to watch this year. all the movie are just special group of movie goer which make money for the studio .

You're probably right, but I'm beside myself to see the attention towards Emilia Pérez, it's a horrible racist movie and had used AI to enhance Gascon vocals, and after all that still is treated like the example of what cinema looks like, till today I don't know how that movie won the globes from wicked...
