In 1975 I watched the 1st episode of SNL, & have watched SNL ever since. In my opinion, Dan Aykroyd was the most versatile cast member until Kate McKinnon’s incredible versatility surpassed even Aykroyd. Never in the history of SNL has anyone equalled Kate’s ability for foreign accents, & no one has come close to her ability to portray people of the opposite sex, plus her comedic timing & rhythm during skits are unmatched. Just look at this skit as an example. There’s never been another cast member who can tell such a long story & it sound so totally natural. I will miss her more than any other SNL cast member who has left. I wish her all the success & happiness she seeks. Kate, you are 1 of the most vivid colors in the rainbow.

She is absolutely a legend - I have watched four decades of SNL and Kate McKinnon has been my absolute favorite comic - hands down. She expanded what was possible for a female comedian to do taking on male and female roles alike. She is a comic genius and I wish her all the very best. Will miss her tremendously. What a great ending to her run. Even that last line in the room-“I always felt kinda like an alien on this planet anyway”-has a tone of bittersweetness. A lot of people turn to comedy because they feel out of place in the world, but Kate McKinnon found where she belonged, and she inspired lots of other people who feel the same way. Thank you for the laughter, Ms. McKinnon. :)

The consummate professional! So incredibly talented. Such timing and control. I can't believe she made it through the skit without laughing and then without completely losing it in tears at the end. Kudos to all involved for the PERFECT send off. Probably the best send off of any character on any show, ever! Kate, in my opinion, you made the show for 10 years. The problem with this show and comedy in general is Men are being feminized. This show is all about woman and gays. So real men cant preform and are weak looking, coddling to girls here. Women generally are not funny and filled with to much emotion to be funny. So the ratings are bad because gays and fat girls are to emotional and cant get over personal struggles to be funny. The truth hurts like my big member.

This actually made me cry. I have anxiety, ptsd, and adhd so falling asleep is hard for me. Watching SNL skits as a fall asleep gives me something to focus on other than the thought tornado. Kate McKinnon, for almost 5 years you have been able to help me fall asleep and quiet my thoughts. I've had four heart surgeries at 23 years old and every night before going to the hospital, I would watch you. Even when I was in the hospital, and it would hurt to laugh sometimes, I still watched you. This may be your last show as a cast member, but for me, your performance will never end. Take a bow Kate, and thank you.
