In the UK the bbc is incapable of making a period frame now without including black characters even though it may be set in 18th and 19th century Britain. You don't really see deep dark skin that often over here (it's slowly changing though as more Somalians are moving north). It's nothing to do with racism or politics. People with a lot of melanin were just not a part of the genetic pool and nowadays most African immigrants settle in other countries, more to the south. For that reason these diversity moves annoy me a bit :/ it just doesn't make sense.

Precisely. This is especially doable because Disney will never make Elsa gay. They can't, because then they can't distribute the movie in China and will lose millions of dollars.
