Wow, that is amazing. My dad just passed away and I I inherited a 1982 GS 1100. It’s red and it’s beautiful great working condition. I’m about to pull the carburetors off and rebuild them so your video on that was very helpful.

Absolutely beautiful bike I have a GS850L (Z)model that im currently rebuilding and painting... Beautiful motorcycle, you have done an awesome job 👍😎

Thanks, that one turned out real nice. Here's another one I did for the same customer, but I actually painted tank and everything on it. This one here, we used a tank he already had, which wasn't real matching factory color. Good luck with your rebuild and thanks for watching! 🐲🐉🐲 kzbin.info/www/bejne/jYKbZY1vmN6EfZY

Absolutely amazing work that you do great job, I had a 82 GS 650L back in 83, I do miss it terribly though, I am trying to get another one, 650 or higher... However they are excellent motorcycles.

Thank you appreciate the positive feedback. I'm working on another one right now for the same customer that is just going to be a rider for when a friend comes over. But the one after that is going to be a show bike, everything rebuilt and polished or rechromed. Check back in on that one. Thanks for watching!

Yes, it turned out real nice, I'm doing another for him right now, but the one I'm doing for him after that one is going to be strictly a show bike, frame is powered coated, all new chrome, ect. I have about another month in this one I'm doing now and then I will start the show bike. Check back for some videos coming soon on the next 2 bikes. Also have Facebook page, alot of the same content facebook.com/Dragon-Worx-580746142258787/

I had that same bike, bought it the spring of my senior year in high school. I put 25000 miles on it and then sold it for some thing else.

Awesome, they are great bikes! Thanks for following and commenting! So did you pick one up that isn't running?

Custom bikes of the 80s were truly beautiful. I wonder why they don't do remakes today. I'm sure a brand new CB900C 4 piper from Honda would be a real good seller.

I totally agree!

Yeah Honda should have taken their recent 1100 and put it a CB type frame and sheet metal.

1970's too!!! :-0) I have a 1976 Kawasaki KZ 900 that has seen its share of hazards (rust, dirt, grime, decay) even with only 45K on it, but it still runs like a Bat out of Hell. Recently put new tires on and changed front (15T->16T) and rear(35T->33T) sprockets to allow lower RPMS at highway speeds.

Indeed! It turned out nice, and will look even better when he puts the correct fuel tank on that matches the side covers. He has a couple more of these I'm supposed to restore, so watch for those coming up! Thanks for watching and commenting!

That things runs amazing! Just acquired a 1983 GS1100GL that keeps filling the case with gas, not sure what's going on yet but the guy said he rebuilt the carbs and put it back together but I might have a couple questions for you when I get into it if you don't mind? Also looking for a rear grab bar if anyone has one.
@thedragon22993 жыл бұрын
OK, yeah they are notorious for filling case with gas, petcock quits working and the needle valve in the carb gets stuck open, floods the carbs, and they usually tilt towards engine so the excess gas just runs in the motor. Real bad situation.

@@thedragon2299 Update: The GLD is up and running like a beast, took me a minute but figured out it was a slow leak from vacuum line off petcock. It was filling the block through the 2nd carb contaminating the oil and fouling out the plug. Now it needs new tires and she's good to go. I do have one question, can I run synthetic blend with the clutch being older? Thanks
@thedragon22993 жыл бұрын
@@jch928 awesome sounds great! I personally don't like the synthetic for older bikes. But valvoline and some other brands make a 10w-40 motorcycle oil with special friction modifiers

Fuel gage working?
@thedragon22995 ай бұрын
As I mentioned in the video, that fuel tank doesn't go to this bike, I was using it while the customer looked for the key to the locking cap that is on the tank that does go to this bike, which I also show in this video. The sending unit isn't even hooked up during the video, that tank gets switched out with the original tank, and As I mentioned in the video I painted the side covers to match the tank that goes to this bike which I show in this video. The sending unit was not even hooked up in this video, so the fuel gauge does not register. Maybe watch the video again to catch those things that you missed and you will also see the tank that went on the bike. Also here is the playlist on this bike:kzbin.info/aero/PLICWLX3xQIRPk-G35zq8gJAf8RDr-mta2&feature=shared I also did another 82 Gs1100 for the same customer
