The best way I've found to kill him on Weak Mode is to set up Foe: HP > 30% Gil Toss (I think that's the threshold you want) and then get off a couple more Gil Tosses and a Dark Matter before he can make himself immune to physical damage. Also, this is easily the hardest flight in Weak Mode besides the judges. Omega and Yiazmat (even in Trial Mode) don't come close.

Absolutely EPIC showdown. Idda been dead at least 20 times over the course of that fight, so mixed up or not, you really showed your skills with surviving all that. Congrats!

That struggle with the Zodiark just brought back horrible memories of my 1st attempts fighting him. I was completely excited coming across him while exploring and had no idea what I was in for. Nice win lol

Nicely done salvaging that, I got quite lucky during my weak mode Zodiark kill, I managed to avoid getting koed at all throughout the fight so between 2 Gill-Tossers, my Main Tank getting in a couple of hits with Excalibur and dumping a Quickening Chain+Dark Matter right before pallings started going up I managed a one-cycle. This boss is always a nightmare once it starts cycling pallings and spamming buffs, even in a standard playthrough.

The best way to deal damage at that final critical stage is Zalera, Zeromus or Exodus Limit breaks, Exodus can deal up to 18k damage, Zeromus is the best one if you manage to get Zeromus's HP to critical and use Big Bang, the damage is based off the different between Zermus's Max HP and Current HP times 3!!!! I've seen it deal over 180k damage, it's the cheapest way to wipe out all the 5 judges, obviously it's not as OP in weak mode due to Zeromus's Level and HP being lower

Gil Toss doesn’t deal random damage, it’s because the damage is capped at 10000, but it’s divided among the targets it’s thrown at. So it did 5000 because it was thrown at two targets. Then it started doing 7000 damage because at 50% HP, Cúchulainn takes 70% damage from that point on.

Yeah, doesn't matter how strong some of the other enemies are... This part of the mines and the upper part of the great crystal are easily the most dangerous spots in the game. The most brutal form of "send them back to the mines".

Darkja actually has a 50% chance to insta kill each victim base. Shell merely reduces the chance by a third to make it about 33%.

when u do trail mode and get to zordaric, dont dispell him when he gets low on health because it will make him cast darkja alot more, use a oppal ring on fran on top of reverse & shell on the party

You should be able to buy Knot of Rust from the Archades - Balfonheim Airship. they are like 20 Gil each, I think. And, I'm sure you already know this - but you can buy Hi-Ether's in the Necrohol of Nabudis for 1,100 Gil each.

For gil especially for lv1, once all my characters are maxed on the licence board I use 3 cat ear hoods on my non active characters. (unless it's a boss of course)
