Vanish is an odd status effect. If you attack, it comes off, like you saw. The idea to put it to best use is to make your White Mage be invisible and not targeted, so that they’re completely safe from Omega while your other two members are doing the fighting.

And yeah, this game has so many vague and sometimes random details that some form of a guide is mandatory for a lot of the optional content. Cause how in the actual blue f**k is anyone supposed to get the "order of ambrosia" rank w/o a guide or something?

Also, I never understood why Montblanc never just got an army to take on that oversized wyrm. Which ironically kinda happens in Revonant Wings... AndI don't think it's an issue of the mist since apparently they got to that place before.

IIRC, the Japanese Omega fight had 10mil HP, but didn't attach as quickly. So they decided to make it 1mil HP and hit much harder so it wasn't just a third Hell Wurm/Yiazmat.

Nothing in the game explicitly tells you how to fight Omega. Just like how there’s no map for the Great Crystal, and nothing tells you how to spawn a lot of the rare game enemies. It’s meant to be an adventure, that’s the best way I can think to explain it. A lot of people hate the Great Crystal for not having a map, but some people like this and enjoyed drawing their own map. So you can map out the Great Crystal, and you’ll find Omega asleep, so you’ll make a note that you did find this giant “treasure chest” that you couldn’t interact with when you were on your way to Ultima. Then you’ll do everything else in the game, and realize that you never did hear anything about this or how to unlock it, so you’ll come back, and be surprised that suddenly it’s awake and a boss fight.

Omega mk12 with 10 million hp?!?!? Fuck ALL of that. I still get my ass beat by way less problematic enemies. Fights like this are just completely beyond my skill in FFXII for now. Great stuff, DK! Edit: Yeah, FF7 Rebirth went absolutely nuts story-wise. No spoilers, of course, but you are in for a TREAT, and some major theory crafting.

According to the wiki in the Japanese version with 10 mil he didnt hit as hard which probsbly made him easier just being able to tank the hits. Omega would be easy if his attacks werent a 2 shot even on a bubbled character.

No tech run? Addle, wither, etc or do they not break the game that much on weak mode. Remember once they got set up fight was free. The hard part was getting set up.

Their rate of success depends on the level difference between user and target; Weak Mode characters against a Level 99 boss will never hit any of them.
