@@Kagetora-That's because the English dub was treated as the main dub unlike past games. The initial script was written in Japanese, then it got rewrote and performed by the English dub crew, and then got translated back to Japanese again for the dub.

IMO the best actor by a fucking mile is Susannah Fielding for adult Jill. There were so many moments of peak VA from her, such as at the ending where she cries with such grief and misery, and sprinkled throughout the game where her voice quivers when she speaks fearfully of her past, or when her voice is audibly shaken when in reaction to witnessing the inhuman monstrosities committed throughout the game. 🎉🎉🎉 THE BEST ❤

The voice acting in FF16 is phenomenal. I instantly recognized young Joshua's voice who played Hugo in A Plague's Tale. Super cool that young Jill is Amicia from A Plague's Tale! If you loved these two voices in FF16, do yourself a huge favor and play A Plague's Tale Innocence and Requiem.

Many of the actors in the English cast have also cut their teeth on voice work in the past. Ralph Ineson voice Charles Vane in Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag and David Menkin played Preston Marlowe from the Battlefield: Bad Company games.

All the respect and praise to the actors, but as games i did play Innocence and it did like it even tho the gameplay loop wasnt very good, but when i tried the sequel Requiem it was worse for some reason and i couldnt finish it. I will probably go back one day. My problem was not with the story or characters, just how the game plays

The voice acting in this game is the best I've ever experienced. I know this and FF14 are British based VA's, but i hope they continue to use British actors (And European ones too, looking at you Benedikta) when doing more FF's in future. Just a step above the rest

There's 3 in here though, Stephen Critchlow (Byron) is Count Fortemps, Gunnar Cauthery (Sleipnir) is Maxima and Laura Eikman (Eloise) is Lyse. Still not many but there's more than one at least, plus Estinien's VA plays the Dragoon you fight at the start of the game.

Timothy Watson (Urianger) also appears as different background NPC's such as the Emperor's advisors or the betrayer at the begining of the game and Anthony Howell (Fourchenault) is many random NPC's. Oh and I definitely heard the VA of the Lalafell that checks you into Old Sharlayan in Endwalker as well. I think the part in Laetny's Cleft had like 3 of them back to back!

This game did everything right in terms of developing a respected videogame. Sure it is not perfect but its close. Its been a very long time since SE developed a well awsome FF game. To be honest, since FF10, I didn't enjoy much of any FF title. My all time favourite is FF7 back in '98. But all FF up to 10 were as good as 7 for me. Then things went downhill from there. I didn't like 12 onwards. At last FF16 comes and captures what makes a FF game great.

This may have been the first thing he worked on, Andor was just released first. Some of Byron's VA work was done by Stephen Critchlow who died about two years ago so having this job 2+ years ago is possible and then he could have gone to work on Andor after.

Cid's voice is too hard for me to understand what he is saying, it's too low😂 I'm not a native English speaker but I live and work in Canada, daily English is no problem but his voice is out of ordinary (in a good sense).

English was the primary dub is why as was the English version of the original script which is what the Japanese dub is based on.
