You have my sympathies. This game might have the name of Final Fantasy, but it plays nothing like one. Sad to see my fav JRPG series turn into a Devil May Cry knockoff. If you want to compare gameplay, try any Final fantasy between 7 and 10 to see how the series used to play.

Yeah, felt the same way. Was not fan of the eikon fights, its pretty much smashing one button and evade. Would have preferred a simple summoning system. Still a minor thing imo, the game and begging of the story trapped me almost instantly. In comparison to XV which felt like a drag to me at the beginning

Looks like they popped Final Fantasy characters into an ESO game and turned everything gray to save on bandwidth. The PS5 games I've seen so far have a shocking absence of color. Reminds me of walking around in a cemetery. About as fun, too. They couldn't even afford to paint the boss either, but their buyers have no sense anyway, why bother.

Couple things. They are playing mighty boring. Also, after you beat the entire demo you unlock a second demo later in the game where you have way more unlocked and can switch stances and what not. This is a very early flashback
