I gave Cait Sith an honest chance to win me over, and I just can't say he did. Playing as him is a nightmare. He's super slow, especially with the moogle. His moves feel awkward and don't pack much of a punch. He has some redeeming qualities, but they're overshadowed. As for his character, I like him a lot more than in the original. It's partly his voice and way of talking.

he's a very niche character, a lot of his abilities rely on chance, but he does have some really powerful abilities, like his Moogle Magic which lets him call his equipped summon to perform an attack, much like how summoning worked in older games.

After getting the platinum, I can say Cait Sith is a really good character. It's just a lot more strategic. He can also be a great tank with just the moogle and the other party can set up their attacks in the meantime. Also he can do insane stagger damage.

Okay, seriously people, did none of you exploit its weakness to Fire? Fire does enough damage to knock out a head, make it go berserk but Pressured, and then you use Moogle Knuckle to increase the Stagger multiplier and do big damage.

You don't even really need to actively exploit his fire weakness. You just have to not eat his thunder casts and his cast animations are so slow that its hard to not perfect block them.

Kinda like the secret boss in p3 if you a break a rule the ai insta kills you in the next turn. Not a fan of this design but at least in p3 its just the secret boss that does this bs and it's optional... unlike in this game.

Yea no. It was just annoying. Most of the high damaging moves required the moogle. But then it would just kill it the moment I spawned it 🤣

I tried that with the let’s ride ability and called the moogle and used like a couple abilities. then used my potions whenever my HP got low. It worked until I moved on to the next part of the game.

@@campbellz_soup6071 you can call the moogle and press circle to drop off... just dont let moogle get attack a lot and just let cait sith attack at the back with his projectiles... works for me... all in all hes the most complex character... the hardest to master... his attacks are luck base...

Nah, the correct way is Ket-shee, as he's named after the Scottish king of cats, a shape shifting fae known for having 9 lives. For some reason, the English version (and only the English version) has it pronounced incorrectly.

I'm using him in my main team, he's great at almost everything. He hit like a truck, he can stagger faster than some characters, he's a good mage too. And the fact that Big Moogle has his own lifebar and Cait Sith don't take damage when he's on his back, that's super useful.

He is just a difficult character to learn. He needed a longer tutorial and even some AI examples on how to use him. I reached this fight and cant use Cait properly, its a pain

@@720pchannel ok, maybe I can agree with that. He definitely is unlike any other action RPG character, but I can assure you once you master him, he is an incredibly powerful asset. Even though a lot of his skills are random, almost all of the outcomes from them are positive.

Cait needs to build luck and ATB boost rather than atk like other party members do which is why most people don't like him cause they are using the wrong equipment.

@@狼之舞-n2k i mean, most basic way to build-chip ATB is by attacking with physical & abilities or blocking(?) So it's kinda 50/50 alongside the devs' fault for making him ATB-reliant without supplying him with compability with basic ATB mechanic by at least making him attack faster and harder like others, or have more multiple attacks at the same time, even with haste he still needs a little bit more boost. Can't say much about Luck because i still haven't read anything online about best luck-dominant or luck-based equipment combo. Aerith had this problem too (kinda sorta) in disc 1 remake, but with the new beams the problem's solved now.

Easily the worst fight in the game, and it's not even close, the solo Aerith fights in the arenas aren't even as bad, this is a horrific matchup with a set up character versus a homing attack spamming mini-boss that fully prevents the entire point of the character, not fun at all.

This fight is easy. Just equip the revival earrings, stagger him get him to 75% health while staggered, then wait for him to use that insta kill attack and die to his explosion, then you’ll be revived. LMFAO!!
