The part about Cody saying, "I know." He mentioned in an interview that his younger brother plays video games and one being FF7. So Cody did research after he was casted from the 97 FF7 to Avdent Children and what not. So thats how he knows about Aerith scene.

They absolutely must keep the “Aerith” scene and fate because it is pivotal to the story and is one of the most important parts of FF7 as a whole.

Cloudless parties are probably going to be a thing for side quests/scripted sequences. In the Mythril Cave, Red and Barrett are fighting the new Boss without Cloud. Assuming a scripted Party split from Cloud, Tifa and Aerith who are busy with Elena and Rude. Also, it looks like the Cave of the Gi will have party splits.

One thing I notice was the “rebirth” text had cloud and seph box art colors. The “unknown” text had all three cloud zack and seph box art colors. Might mean nothing, might mean Zack isn’t actually part of what ever is “reborn” but maybe just alludes to his part still being unknown.

After seeing the arsenal of 'weapons' and crazy things this planet can do throughout the entirety of the compilation, I wonder what it will respond with to Sephiroth's new approach of assault. In OG Cloud had a complex he had to solve to save the planet. Now, in the Remake series, he still has to save the planet and still has the complex, but this time the planet itself seems to have this complex with him after the events of Singularity and the Edge of Creation. What if split-reality Gaia can freak out like multi-persona Cloud? What will it do if or when it does?

Yeah Cait Sith is absolutely redeemed for me. His original job class was titled “toysaurus (beastmaster)” in the planning phase for this game. And that’s what he feels like this time around.

Amazing video. I agree on this not being in lifestream. I’ve been teetering between lifestream and timelines/world, etc, for so long now. But yet again, I’m leaning toward the latter now. Everything seems so chaotic, visceral and raw for this just simply be the LS imo. Also, can we talk about how good Cody sounds as Cloud holy moly.

What's interesting about multiple world's is how it can interact with the story and the lifestream. We've always had this depiction of Jenova going planet to planet. What purpose does multiple worlds serve in the lifestream's existence, Sephiroth's goal, the will of the planet, etc.? From the narrative's perspective, speculation can just go so wild from here because it's not clear why any of this is needed. Also BABYSEALDROP LETS GOOOO

3:06 Tifa mentions the mayor in a scene in the gameplay demo that came out a few months ago, the one where she, Cloud and Sephiroth are discussing the mako fountain. She mentions her father in the same sentence. This suggests that Tifa's family and the Mayor are close in some way (Brian Lockhart seems to be a person of importance in Nibelheim). So you're probably right that this man is the Mayor and that Tifa's cowgirl outfit are hand-me-downs.

The shot of Sephiroth with the green background and whispers is 100% THAT scene. We see another shot from that scene during the VGA trailer, same color palette, and whispers in the background. Also makes sense for whispers to be in that scene.

Waittt the cloudless party - it must be for certain parts of dungeon like areas in the story where cloud/the party split? I hope its something you can eventually just do, but who knows. One thing that we still havent seen any elaboration on is whether your party can 'roam' areas you revisit - in the first summer games trailer, Cloud walks into Chocobo Farm outside Kalm and Aerith/Red are just chilling in the vicinity seemingly 'wandering' the area instead of following him around.

What if they change things to the whispers stoping the party from killing the weapon in Gongaga and it escapes to the ocean. What if the weapons first emerge as a much smaller larvae-like form and grows into what we know them looking like in the original. If so, that makes the weapon you fight in gongaga Emerald Weapon.

I mean, it’s also possible to have romantic feelings for two people…shocker, I know. You make a great point that it doesnt necessarily have to be romantic in order to care if something bad happens to someone, but I just wanted to also point out that humans are complex, emotional creatures and can feel seemingly contradictory things at the same time, and part of what makes this story great IMO is that it actually explores that.

The OG FFVII had parts of the game where certain character's had to be on the team. Example, Cid after Mideel, Yuffie at the Pagoda, Tifa at the Northern Crater, etc. In Chapter 17 of FFVIIR, the party split in 2 and obviously Cloud wasn't in one of the parties. Btw, IMO Chapter 17 was one of the worst chapters. Constantly switching materia was so annoying. There was Chapter 10 where you just played as Barret for awhile and then joined Tifa. A Cloudless party isn't that much of a shock. Also, in a previous trailer for Rebirth, we saw Barret and Red XIII as a party fighting in the mines.

At 40 OG was better Tifa is censored Tekken 8 and Dawntrail Dragons dogma 2 elden ring DLC This is going to be a play once and drop for me RIP the real FF7 a fond memory of my teenage years. Years later only posers try to recrewte a magic that will never top the OG . Facts Now please cope. Once part 3 is out this will be forgotten in the coming decades, it will not shine the test of time like the OG. Mark my words. Part 1 was nearly forgotten in the deluge of just a few years and needed a part 2 for people of large magnitudes to mention.

Why cant they leave a multiverse out of this legacy!? it would of been perfect to expand Zack and all the other elements, but the whispers, timelines....keep it well away from FF7 for gods sake. They proved in the chapter in remake where we went to the top plate and saw Jessies family that the world could be expanded and be exciting without shitting over the originals themes and memories.
