For those who fought Creator ( God, or Kami in Japanese ), you can actually instakill him just by using the Glass Sword. If it connects, it'll kill him.

It's actually the chain saw, not the glass sword, that instantly kills the final boss. God is dead (because we killed him with a chain saw)

when i played the Romancing SaGa series for the first time a few months ago, I was really good, maybe i was just good at RPG's in general, then i found out that Legends 1-3 are actually the SaGa games. no wonder.

I remember discovering the chainsaw glitch by accidentally hitting the wrong command and killing Su Zaku with the forcefield. (You can also kill that Su Zaku by using a bunch of Flares.)

This boss was ridiculously difficult if you didn't use the saw on him. He packs a punch and it takes for-freaking-ever to win. And the saw thing is just a glitch, an error in the programming.

Main difficulty is to not trigger his "Restore" move, where he goes back to full health. I had a setup of 2 Humans 2 Mutants to damage him in a few turn without letting him use it. Never actually used Saw (english isn't my main language, young me thought Saw was useless)

as a lot of old jrpg battles this is super rng heavy, you have to pray he uses the attack where he blinds your party and resist the next dflare turns

my first time getting to him (which was a few weeks back now) one of my characters had the SAW on them, and i forgot to make someone Equip the Neutron bomb, and it turned out my Esper and my human were so strong, my monster companions were set to heal duty. and by the time i was ready to let the big guns fly, (and, i too, was also extremely lucky as God/Creator didn't full heal. not ONCE) i won. truely a game that just showers death about, with still giving a reason why you're continuing as a group up this death tower to find a reason to stop all this madness

As a kid, I didn't think this was a boss battle against God, but a 4th wall breaking battle against the game's programmer! Namely with how the heroes exclaim "it was all just a game?"

Fun fact. The chainsaw glitch was a bug in the game boy version. It did the opposite of what it is supposed to do. Go on fight God on the wonderswan color and use chainsaw. Watch it miss everytime
