I wish they'd of had her this talkative with her Dissidia voice actress. This version of Ulti has a bit of a deeper voice, I prefer the balance of ferocity/elegance her other voice has.

Thank you Mobius staff, this is such a good spin-off for Final Fantasy 8. I really like how they talk about home of the sorceress, even for Ultimecia, and that Squall's Sorceress knows how to get there. And the friendship between these Mobius and FF8 characters. Mobius has such a good story.

So Ultimecia was someone who suffered from a war or massive chaos, became sorceress, and decided to rebuild the world, and blamed SeeD for this war. Its finally known then, the storyline of Ultimecia. She wants to become a Goddess so she can rebuilt the world without what led to its downfall. So she is heroic actually rather than purely evil, just that SeeD doesn't acknolwedge her version of the timeline, so she dies and they remain changing what was supposed to happen after she falls. Interesting.

Is that how it is in this game? In the original game she was just a sad super powerful sorceress who feared the loss of her memories and wanted to unite all of time to effectively destroy any kind of entropy.

It's a collaboration, can't really expect much but it would be nice if they would have introduced it. However, this takes place after the original PlayStation FF8.

@@BuffMaister Does that make any sense? I mean, as far as Final Fantasy and timelines go, "post-FF8" would make it impossible for Ultimecia to appear as she closed the loop when she died and passed her powers on.

I don't know about the lore or anything. I've only played the game ones and that was way back in my younger days when FF8 first came out. The hardcore Final Fantasy lore players could most likely explain and put a theory behind it when/how this happened. I'm not sure if dansg08 will do this again to break down about Squall & Ultimecia as he did it before with the Final Fantasy 10 collaboration about Yuna & Tidus.
