So nice to hear your compliments! I hope you enjoy what I have planned for O23. :)

I've been playing this deck a lot and I love it.

So coming into a major tournament and you know this deck is everywhere What kind of deck counters this kind of madness? As you rightly said, a t1 totto doesn't really help either. Do we start sleeving 4cp L exdeath or something?

I think Earth *is* the way to go; you at least have some agency over things like Chaos/Fujin/etc with Mist Dragon. But the deck does feel like a bit of a "screw you if you're not playing Earth". Jury's still out on that one. I'll probably address it in a stream some time when I've gotten to playtest the deck a lot more.

the 4 color good stuff decks are dropping ama to 2 and brought mist to 3. it's that simple of an answer. Mist dragon is actually an outright kill against this deck. You even willingly take damage to get more EX chances, but mist away the raijin/fujin when he tries to stack their triggers. From there you cant lose. -Also if youre worried, toss in 3 EX Tifa6. She eats the entire deck for breakfast. If you draw one, get her to slap chaos. -If youre on 4c good stuff, gear towards more mist/levi6/unei. always pitch uneis when misting. levi6 ends the game when you double trigger grab unei and ship chaos. -Or Man in Black on the back of odin5 and bahamut5, the discounted ones at 5 damage. You checkmate easily at 5. It's not even a game if you also stack up mist dragons with MiB. -Or if you want smol brain answers, just jam wind cecil5 to cheat wol4. save either 1 ama or 1 mist dragon. watch them struggle til the end of days. they cant go over that wall. wol. get it? eh eh heh.. -and finally..forget all that, just turn 1 edgar into wind/fire zidane. make them regret their life decisions for playing combo.

Super powerful deck. I understand that there were some unlucky draws in the goldfish, but it seems like it defeats itself as fast as it kills its opponent, sometimes without any prodding from them. A paper tiger that can give a mighty papercut if everything lines up. I’m worried about it, but I don’t think there will be any version in a Material Cup that can’t get its consistency up… or is played by a fan of YOLO and divine providence, I suppose. I’d bet this gets spreadsheeted with the aid of the ye ol’ hypergeometric calculato.

I'm on that end as well. It's a fun deck when I got to play it. But if you know what's happening, it's very easy to interact with it.

Aranea or New Noeal and this deck is absolutely screwd. This has great surprise factor, but once you know, you need a defensive Forward quick, it is not going to be as deadly as Steve sells it.

I love to actually play the game and set up for my evil and fun tricks, that i've been brainstorming over for hours when building my deck. But when my opponent plays this i'll be like: "okay gg" and scoop

Never rule out the possibility of your opponent not getting the nut, or playing absolutely terribly. Hold people accountable to rule process mistakes they make with this deck; there's a lot of subtle ways to "accidentally cheat" with this deck that I tried to outline.

I like him in Mono Water to turbo out Lenna/Lev.

Me too! Especially when there's already so many monsters there.

cool vid, seems this deck is very suspectable to bad draws. once you mulligan and still have terrible hand, going to be difficult to come back one of the few true glass cannons would be curious to see how you would utilize LB deck with it - from both player perspectives
@YunaYoungTeam3 ай бұрын
Haha, yeah, I suppose I could have cut the video to make it look better, but at least it shows I don't fake a sample hand. :L I think some people just want to try and win on turn 2, or die trying. This one's for those degenerates. 🥂

The deck seems to be the strongest t1 in the game maybe even t2. But a bad hand would kill it. X-2 coule be enough to stop it top cutting. Gotta wait and see and if people prepare with extremely heavy EX decks amat salamanders etc this deck is in for a bad time

decks interesting but it’s not good

Well 2 just topped in the Portland materia cup so we’ll see as the op23 meta develops. Still gotta be prepped for it or it can very very easily steal games.
@YunaYoungTeam3 ай бұрын
Came here to say the same; it's a total scam of a deck, and creates non games whenever it does its thing. Play Mist or die!
@richardanderson34763 ай бұрын
quick fyi. not hating on the build, also i do get what it does and yes it’s effective but I personally wouldn’t risk a major tournament top on using it. Knights still seems like the correct decision if attempting to cheese a win in a 2 deck format. found even just ixion being able to buckle this deck. Understanding all decks in a meta is more important than playing a deck with a high win rate imo. If you can’t understand how the decks in the meta choke, I believe it’s very hard to win. and yes Mist Dragon… my favourite card 4eva
