Previously, Cloud carried out Corel Region Quest 9: "Can't Stop Won't Stop" for the Shinra Middle Manager at the Gold Saucer. He suffered through advanced versions of the Gold Saucer's minigames to surpass the Shinra Middle Manager's scores and become the Ultimate Party Animal. The party has now completed all the game's "formal" side quests. In so doing, they unlocked the final opponent in the 3D Brawler. So, Cloud will now worsen his concussion by confronting the 3D Brawler's Advanced opponents. Aside from a trophy, there is an excellent reward for defeating the ultimate opponent. Then, Cloud will head to the Musclehead Colosseum to start on the more advanced and higher-level bouts.

Detailed description: 0:00 - Game Load 0:11 - Gold Saucer - Wonderment Square The party resumes in Wonderment Square in the Gold Saucer. The main scenario "Tracking the Turks" is in progress. Cloud will start with the 3D Brawler. I found that this guide has some helpful guidance for the 3D Brawler minigame: gamefaqs.gamespot.com/ps5/371123-final-fantasy-vii-rebirth/faqs/81141/3d-brawler Cloud examines the 3D Brawler machine. The Advanced difficulty opponents are unlocked. 1:04 - 3D Brawler - Shiva The first advanced opponent in the 3D Brawler is Shiva, the Numb-Knuckled Queen. Cloud starts his first attempt against Shiva (1:10). Shiva can perform all three types of blows with her right hand, but with her left hand, she can only execute a Hook. It is not very easy to tell her right-hand attacks apart. She also has two special combos. After a failure, Cloud makes a second attempt (2:01). Cloud retries and makes a third attempt against Shiva (2:53). Cloud retries and makes a fourth attempt (3:29). Cloud retries and makes a fifth attempt against Shiva (4:04). Cloud retries and makes a sixth attempt (4:52). Cloud retries and makes a seventh attempt against Shiva (5:38). So close. Cloud retries and makes an eighth attempt (6:42). Cloud retries and makes a ninth attempt against Shiva (7:32). Cloud retries and makes a 10th attempt (8:16). This time, he KOs Shiva (9:16). For defeating Shiva, he earns 3 pieces of Dark Matter and 270 Gold Saucer Points. A new item becomes available at the GP Exchange kiosks. 9:31 - 3D Brawler - Ifrit The second advanced opponent in the 3D Brawler is Ifrit, the Burning Bruiser. Cloud starts his first attempt against Ifrit (9:38). Ifrit can perform Hooks and Uppercuts with his right hand, as well as all three types of blows with his left. Compared to Shiva, it seems a little easier to tell Ifrit's blows apart. Pausing before the enemy's blow lands can be helpful for determining what kind of blow they are executing. Ifrit also has three known special combos. After a failure, Cloud makes a second attempt (11:04). After just two attempts, he KOs Ifrit (12:25). For defeating Ifrit, Cloud earns a pair of Golden Brawler's Gloves accessory and 350 Gold Saucer Points. The Golden Brawler's Gloves increase the limit gauge charge rate upon staggering a foe. He has now defeated all advanced rank opponents. New items become available at the GP Exchange kiosks. 12:50 - Gold Saucer - Wonderment Square After saving, Cloud examines the 3D Brawler machine again. 13:35 - 3D Brawler - Sephiroth After defeating Ifrit and after completing Corel Region Quest 9: "Can't Stop Won't Stop", Cloud can challenge the toughest opponent in the 3D Brawler, Sephiroth, the Seasoned SOLDIER (13:40). Sephiroth has all three types of blows available on each hand. He also has at least four known special combos. To make matters worse, his Limit gauge charges quickly. In short, he is the toughest opponent in the 3D Brawler. Even so, he is pretty easy to read once you know what to look out for, and the pause trick can be very helpful. He crouches low for his Uppercuts, leans down slightly for his Hooks, and stays upright for his Straights. He very rarely uses a Taunt, so evading his combos is the best way to get an opening to strike. After a failure, Cloud makes a second attempt (15:12). After two on-screen attempts, Cloud KOs Sephiroth (19:44). For defeating Sephy, Cloud earns a Ribbon accessory and 400 Gold Saucer Points. The Ribbon prevents detrimental status effects and makes it harder to be interrupted while casting magic. The player earns the trophy "Polygonal Prizefighter" for defeating Sephiroth in 3D Brawler. Cloud has defeated Sephiroth and has become a 3D Brawler master. New items become available at the GP Exchange kiosks. 20:28 - Gold Saucer - Wonderment Square Cloud equips the Ribbon, a fine reward for getting repeatedly concussed in 3D Brawler. In the Wonderment Square lobby, Cloud visits the GP Exchange counter (21:05). At the Chocobo Square shop, he spends 3,000 GP on an orb of Gil Up Materia. At the Battle Square shop, he spends 2,500 GP on an orb of Level Boost Materia. It appears there are all manner of collectibles and special materials available. After saving, Cloud takes the Guide Moogle to Battle Square. 22:35 - Gold Saucer - Battle Square At the entrants' counter in the Musclehead Colosseum, Cloud talks to the Colosseum Receptionist. New combat challenges and a new difficulty level are now available. 23:10 - Musclehead Colosseum - 2 (Easy) Under 2 (Easy), the party undertakes "Two-Person Bout: Exemplary Exterminators" (23:23). The requirements are to (1) complete "Two-Person bout: Devil-May-Care Desperados" and (2) defeat the Classified Foe in the Grasslands, the Quetzalcoatl. I saved this for later because of the recommended level of 39. The party chooses a lineup of Cloud and Yuffie. In Round 1, the party encounters some Junon Flametroopers and some Daemonic Entities. In Round 2, the party encounters a Quetzalcoatl. Cloud and Yuffie defeat all the enemies (27:36). For completing "Two-Person Bout: Exemplary Exterminators", the party earns 2 Hi-Ethers and 80 Gold Saucer Points. 28:08 - Gold Saucer - Battle Square Red XIII takes Tifa's Ice Materia, Fire Materia, and Wind Materia. He takes Yuffie's Auto-Cast Materia and links it with his Healing Materia. Cloud talks to the Colosseum Receptionist again. 29:05 - Musclehead Colosseum - 2 (Easy) Under 2 (Easy), the party undertakes "Two-Person Bout: Ghoulish Delights" (29:13). The requirements are to (1) complete "Two-Person Bout: Exemplary Exterminators" and (2) defeat the Classified Foe in the Junon Region, the Mindflayer. This has a recommended level of 40. The party chooses a lineup of Cloud and Red XIII. In Round 1, the party encounters some Grasslands Wolves and some Crawlers. In Round 2, the party encounters a Mindflayer. How delightful. Cloud and Red defeat all the enemies (34:17). For completing "Two-Person Bout: Ghoulish Delights", the party earns "Tale of the Red Warrior Vol. IV", providing Red XIII with 10 SP, and 100 Gold Saucer Points. The party has completed all easy rank two-person team bouts. 34:51 - Gold Saucer - Battle Square Yuffie takes the Auto-Cast Materia back from Red and links it with her Healing Materia. Tifa takes Red's Fire Materia, Wind Materia, and Lightning Materia. She also takes the Auto-Cast Materia from Yuffie and links it with her Healing Materia. Tifa equips a Safety Bit. Note that fire resistance may be useful for the upcoming challenges. Cloud talks to the Colosseum Receptionist again. 35:47 - Musclehead Colosseum - 2 (Advanced) Under 2 (Advanced), the party undertakes "Two-Toad Bout: Frogjutsu" (35:59). In this bout, the chosen characters compete as frogs. Status-protection gear will not prevent the transformation. This has a recommended level of 44. The party chooses a lineup of Cloud and Tifa. In Round 1, the froggy party encounters three Amphidices. Toadally simple. In Round 2, the party encounters three Citripinefish and a Sandhog Pie. Look out for the Citripinefish's Blackout Bubble. In Round 3, the party encounters a couple of Grangalans, plus whatever Grangalan Juniors and Baby Grangalans get replicated. Look out for the self-destructing little ones. In Round 4, the party encounters two Junon Flametroopers. In Round 5, the party encounters a Levrikon. Cloud and Tifa make all the enemies croak (43:52). For completing "Two-Toad Bout: Frogjutsu", the party earns an Elixir and 140 Gold Saucer Points. 44:41 - Gold Saucer - Battle Square After saving, Cloud talks to the Colosseum Receptionist again. 44:55 - Musclehead Colosseum - 2 (Advanced) Under 2 (Advanced), the party undertakes "Two-Toad Bout: Ribbit Me This" (45:04). The requirement is to complete "Two-Toad Bout: Frogjutsu". The chosen characters compete as frogs in this bout, as well. This has a recommended level of 44. The party chooses a lineup of Cloud and Tifa. In Round 1, the froggy party encounters three Junon Riot Troopers. In Round 2, the party encounters two Grasslands Wolves. In Round 3, the party encounters two Sea Terpsicolts. In Round 4, the party encounters two Cactrots. In Round 5, the party encounters a Bomb. Be careful that its Self-Destruct does not make the party croak. Protection against fire-elemental damage is quite helpful. After a close call against the Bomb, Cloud and Tifa defeat the enemies (55:45). For completing "Two-Toad Bout: Ribbit Me This", the party earns an Enfeeblement Ring accessory and 160 Gold Saucer Points. The Enfeeblement Ring grants Toad at the start of battle. 56:13 - Gold Saucer - Battle Square The party saves. Next time, they will continue throwing down in the Musclehead Colosseum.
