As with all the other commenters, THANK YOU. I kept trying the magic builds and couldn't even get to stage 3. I think the most important part was pressuring using whatever I had to do in stage 2 to break the half-power curse. Man this fight sucked. I'm not looking forward to Chadley's stuff.....

OMG dude. I tried SO many times with different strats to kill this a-hole on hard mode. This set up actually worked. Did it on my second try. I had cetran armlet on Red since the stat diff wasn’t major. Allowed me to rock some extra materia too. Thank you for posting this!

I did summon Odin after the group of skulls and that took about 15k off and then a firaga, overcharge and maximum fury and all she wrote.

It worked!! I used phoenix on Barratt, the two materia he doesnt show i used as mp up and hp up, and just tanked it first go. After soo many different magic builds, im shocked that just smacking him until he.....died squared? Worked
