@ggs274 жыл бұрын
You ended it, right?
@kungolaf44994 жыл бұрын
@@TerryAVanguard Yeah no. People still read Shakespeare because mass culture didn't exist back in 1500s. There was only one defining status quo of cultural style at a certain time and Baroque in 1600s was the last of them that united Europe. After the French Revolution, Industrialization and mass producement of media products, our culture has become diverse and shattered. To give you an example on how "empty" 90% of people in Europe were, the average Brit in 1500s knew 300 words... You don't think about much of anything with those words, not your economical status, not political ideaologies or your potential as a human being. The cultural consensus was defined by the rich and literate 20% who were very conformist against one another. This massive change to today's 99% literacy in the West has happened so fast through education and industrialization, we don't even realize how "special" art was before the 1800s and how it defined entire socioeconomic systems, monarchies and historical events. That's why people will hear of Shakespeare in 2200s alongside the future pioneers in IT and coding and their text books will have a mention of gaming as a subculture with Minecraft being mentioned. Sadly, that is the truth. On the other hand, you can be happy to know that you lived at the same time as FF7 existed in humanity's cultural memory.

My first reaction to when Cloud was fighting Jenova/Sephiroth’s control was like, “wtf? Oh shit. NO NO NO NO NO!” Then Sephiroth kills Aerith, and I’m stunned silent. Hey don't make fun of the materia system. It's BECAUSE it involves so much playing with balls that it's so great. You can rearrange your balls, stick balls in your equipment, and observe crazy combinations of balls that provide unique and customizable experiences. And the balls regain all their energy after each battle so they can be used repeatedly. Playing with balls can't be beat.

This review gave me a great laugh. I loved the original FF7, but after my brother accidentally deleted my many hours of progress, I had a difficult time going back to it and never finished it. So, I was really excited when my husband bought me the remake as a gift -- a new experience without the emotional baggage I had for the original. As a woman playing through FF7 remake right now, I don't love the portrayal of females -- it would be so much richer if they weren't just straight up flirting with the angsty ball of crust that is Cloud Strife. Some development in their emotions toward Cloud would have been appreciated. This aspect definitely caters more to the player-base of the original FF7, I suppose, which is shortsighted given the growth in female's that enjoy gaming now.

Why it called final Fantasy when its been that way for like 15 times
@bimaakhmadi94664 жыл бұрын
The first entry of the game was made when the dev almost bankrupt/disbanded or something. It's called final fantasy because they thought it would be their final game. Welp, it turned out to be one of the most influential RPG and JRPG in history lol.

@umphreak99993 жыл бұрын
@@Dave_ja_vu no, it was like 6 months before they released any kind of patch and it was a minor bug fix. what he showed was probably the most extreme example, but if you sprint towards an objective or conversation marker the game takes a couple seconds to load it. you probably either didn't sprint very much or just stopped frequently to listen to ambient dialogue or it was just never long enough for you to noticed. and i don't think it got patched because i'm 99% sure they basically reached the limit of what they could do with that engine and hardware and instead focused on the ps5 upgrade, what we got is basically as good as they're going to get it on ps4

@Memnoch_the_Devil4 жыл бұрын
They have said that at this point they don't know how it's going to be broken up. Basically said how long the games are will determine when they come out. So if the games are shorter we will get them sooner but I honestly hope that's not the case. Cause if so are they trying to charge full price for 4-5 games? I'm really hoping they keep it resigned to just three, in which case Aerith will most def die in the next game
@latima123ify4 жыл бұрын
Is she even going to die this time with all of the changes they made?
@talancorwell4 жыл бұрын
@@kylerqaz22 People tend to forget that the three discs aren't broken up equally. Disc 3 is literally only the final dungeon, boss, and cutscenes. And disc 1 is slightly longer than disc 2 so disc 1 is like half the game, they could definitely split it into two more parts of they wanted to
@kylerqaz224 жыл бұрын
@@talancorwell I guess Im more thinking of it as, if they dont end with that part, where would they end the second game? And then, where in the third would her death be? (or at least where we find out if she will die or not) It feels like it would need to be at the end of the second game for pacing purposes
