Maybe you knew, maybe you didn't; either way I still hope you enjoyed the video! What are some other lesser-known facts from Final Fantasy VIII or some of the other excellent entries from the series?

FF8 was one hell of an entry. There were so many strange mechanics and systems... Upgrading weapons through finding about them on magazines, that salary system where you would get demoted if you lazed around too much, and the insane amount of easter eggs... I remember the ufo stuff. Everything was ambitious as hell, which is fair, considering they came from FF7. When you look back and think about all they managed to implement for a ps1 game, it's almost unbelievable. Great video to bring up some nostalgia.

The SeeD rank going down if you took to long or made bad decisions really riled my feathers as a kid. But as an adult now (and knowing that grinding levels does nothing in this game) I kinda dig it actually as a measurement of skill. Like you said, numerous things going on this game that make it so weird and wonderful!

21:50 Honestly, I’d be down for that. It’s an Obscure title now just due to how Controversial that series is! The Same can be said about the Devs. Not sure, But I know for a Fact that this game went completely out of print and it’s studio was forced to shutdown after their titles became illegal! 😮

Its funny because ive played this game half a dozen times and ADD’d 3/4 of the way through and never finished. Even re bought on the switch… still didnt finish. So when I saw this thumbnail I was like oh, someone else knows this game is complex… and then I see its my favorite twisted metal story teller. Instant like and watch.

Well I appreciate that. I was hoping to retain some people even though it’s a different game. I'd totes recommend going back to finish it. BUT can absolutely sympathize with you. I've played FF8 easily 40ish times, but have only beaten it like 4 times hahaha There is just so much going on, and there is so many other things to steal my attention. Thanks again for watching and the like!

FF8 was my Very First Final Fantasy Myself, even though I use to watch my Uncle play Final Fantasy 4, 6, & 7 in the past. But Damn did Final Fantasy 8 make me confuse as Hell! Like, the game had moments. But Good God… Everything in FF8 felt Half-baked! Yet when it comes to the personal Stories between Laguna and Squall, their Stories make far more sense, and sadly ignore a lot of the other cast members without making them factor into the story all that much. But Yeah, this Secret…and Deeply Vague Lore about Hyne had really Flew over my head, BECAUSE THERE WAS NO REASON FOR IT TO EXIST! It’s just in here and doesn’t really Tie into anything Deeper! This it had no Impact on me compared to me Playing FF9 or FF10! If a Final Fantasy 8 Remake were to happen! I would honestly take Less issue with the Retelling here than I do with Final Fantasy 7! Cause At the Very Least, they’d be adding in layers that would genuinely feel more connected!

You can really tell Laguna had a bigger part in the story because almost all of his scenes are so wonderfully written and thought out. Shame that like you mentioned, the rest feels sooooo half-done and rushed. Just like with Hyne's half-done and rushed inclusion. Where they are mentioned twice-ish and then never again. Having no real bearing on the overall story of the game. True, if they were to do something with 8. I wouldn't mind them adding back in some backstory or just getting rid of the unnecessary stuff.
