Part 5...Dark Bahamat. Believe it or not..he's the hardest of all the Dark Aeons!! I had to level up Rikku for this fight.

Dark Bahamut is the reason why I love this BGM. It plays during the awesome bosses(sans Seymour Flux), and It even plays DURING the Yunalesca cutscene! Need to find this BGM! Oh yeah. Nice Job, DKefka! XD

You can get Fortune Spheres by beating (preferably over-killing for double drops) the Earth Eater, and you can get Luck Spheres from the Greater Sphere, both of which are Original Creations and are fairly strong.

Dark Bahamut's Impulse counter isn't random, he uses it after every 5 attacks you make on him, regardless of whether you hit him or he dodges.

man im glad dark aeons weren't in my game, im 150 hs in the game and i cant beat those things in the calm lands arena so xD well i did that years ago, i was oputa shape oh, and about the video, you deserve to be congratulated for spending your time in such a nice action (showing others the dark aeons fights) :)

I guess he's using Grand Slam on Wakka. Customize weapon with break damage limit on it. Rest of it is up to you. 60 Dark Matter for making BDL on weapon. Ribbon can't block the break effects, so you neither dispel it or using Hyper Mighty G again. Btw I love this fight, very challenging beside Dark Yojimbo. Thanks for the vids man, keep it up!

Eventually got it done this weekend...the ribbons weren't working unless all three fighting DB had them on. Once I figured that out, it was just a question of timing using an Aeon to block his mega-flare between hitting him. Frustrating considering how many times I had to reload this one and yet I knock out Anima at the first attempt!

it depends on the relationship to the characters. if u heal someone (f.ex. Lulu) during battles, if u talk to someone first whenever u have to talk to ur party, stuff like that.. u can lower the relationship to someone if hes petrified and u attack and crash him. Something like a datinggame like it existed in FFVII (afaik, never played FFVII)

i found using yuna and just summoning yojimbo and just pay him to do the work for you works perfectly fine with all the dark aeons apart from the dark version of himself :)

I have a question btw. How much magic defence am I going to need to survive an impulse? Or is it defence because it doesn't seem to be magical damage whenever I use it with Bahamut. Was thinking it might beat Neslug, but he was immune to it.

Valefors in besaid and Ixions at the thunder plains i dunno abou the others...when you get Cids airship. But i was exploring and ran from seymour flux (in gagazet) to the thunder plains and discovered ixion there anyway :D

You have to get the airship after you fought yunalesca. Then fly to besaid and go to the village, Black valefor is waiting there but watch out it has 800.000hp. You find the black aeons on different places. This one is in the yevon dome

Holy sht man. That auto haste makes the game totally different.!! im absolutely amazed. You really did i great job!. I just used yojimbo for all the dark ones. Seems all your stats are so high maybe you would know a good place i can obtain some Level 3 key sphere's, I found demolith 1 in 300 times Hes no use for them. Im desperate ha.

100% agreed. Dark Bahamut is giving me a serious ass whooping right now. I've got all stats maxed except Luck. I take it very high or maxed out Luck is a necessity. My Quick Hits 95% of the time never land, only Overdrives. In the monster arena, you can get Fortune Spheres from Earth Eater, and Luck Spheres from Greater Sphere.

Impulse is physical damage. But it causes petrify and FULL BREAK (armor break included) thus, you are considered to have 0 physical def unless dispeled. @ commentaryguy, nope, bahamut is the king of the dragons, they just named the ships in FF12 over some of the previous summons in the series.

@golden3dge And so, I kept making some way to have fun in Final Fantasy X... Eventually, there was 240+ hours of game time on it from me (I also let it run during dinner, appointments, etc. if I'd be back later, so around 180 hours of all 240 was actual play time and not at the menu) and you may say I had or have no life, but during that time, I made Tidus the best of all the characters and finished his Sphere Grid (I was younger than many other players, progress was slow as hell)

Defeating all the Dark Aeons will unlock one final optional boss called Penance, the toughest boss in FFX by far. The girl who throw Tidus his blitzball is dependant on their affection level, who Tidus is closer friends with (distinguished by who he talks to first in a new area, who he uses beneficial items on), and Rikku said "Yahoo!", not a Chocobo noise.

The previous comment was about killing Dark Aeons with Yojimbo's Zanmato. You would do better summoning an Aeon after fourth hit and attack Bahamut to recive his Impulse and then Megaflare (his OD should be full after Impulse attack). They do great as a meatshield. Great fight anyway - taking Megaflare and Impulse on your team is madness :D

apparently, the problem with impulse is note the stoning since ribbon/stoneproof can handle that. IMO, stoneproof and auto-haste armors are enough already. the main problem with impulse is the full break.

Did you use Hyper Mighty G or at least Auto Life on 1 (preferably 2) of your party? With those stats you should be able to deal with him fine. Maybe your armour and/or weapons aren't right for the fight? Auto Haste + Quick Hit + Hyper Mighty G/Auto Life is your best friend.

I think my reply got lost, but actually I made a mistake its 14-16 games for auroch reels... its only 2-3 games for attack reels! You basically do a tourny for attack reels, reset blitz data, 10 games for status reels, then a 2-3 game tourny for auroch reels (14-16), then reset blitz and 10 more for his sigil. 24 to 26 total.

If you want an emulator I recommend PCSX2, its simple to use and setup, you just have to find a bios for it on the net, and use a PS3/Xbox360 controller with DS3 Tool, and setup DS3 to emulate a PS2 controller. Then get your FFX iso from the net or torrent. (I reccomend International version as it has extra bosses and the enemies are harder).

I beat the dark magus sisters yesterday, but i haven't saved after the match, because i customized my best armor for that and i wanna know the perfect armor for fighting dark aeons :)

Question. Since you always died when he used Mega-Flare, why did you defend? You had Auto-Life, so if you attacked you would get a better result.

only after 1 use does it disappate but in the final battle you can't lose cause its an auto-life battle hyper mighty g gives a few properties auto-life just revives them and leaves it has to be recasted unless its the final battle

Dark Bahamut is pretty easy actually. All you need to have is: luck around 120, strenght 255, auto haste and Rikku's Hyper Mighty G. You don't even need to have stone proof. Every fifth attack of Dark Bahamut is impulse. So all you need to do: Attack 4 times, summon an aeon, do the fifth attack with the aeon so it blocks the stone effect of impulse and repeat this until Bahamut is defeated. Also spell Hyper Mighty G for physical attacks and mega flare.

i saw auto-phoenix.. but i didn't see the first time auto-life was cast.. was that a weapon/armor skill? and i assume you didnt play blitzball much since you only had Attack Reels for Wakka i wonder how my team would've gone up against D.Bahamut.. too bad i dont hav Int. you have to get that specific players ultimate weapons and then two items for that weapon to activate break HP limit and break dmg limit

for the attack reels you need to be in 50 blitz events if you are lucky, if not 240. for the clear sphere you need to catch 5 of every monster in the game.

you new to final fantasy? ribbon is an accessory that gives protection from most to almost all the negative status aliments in game. Its one of FF's most iconic items in the series.

To get the 30 wings I find it easier to get them from Morbol or Great Morbol via Gil. For 1 million you get 8-10 wings and gil collecting is easy. Just beat mimics with double gil and you get 100k. Or beat the flying eye at the farm for weapons with triple ap. You can sell them for 67k each.

Ribbon = protection against all negative status effects. However, some enemies, and almost every Dark Aeon of course, are able to penetrate these protections.
