The comments have spoken. This video was a test. Not just a test to see how the new wide-angle lens would be for a KZbin video (I REALLY LIKE IT BTW), but a test to see how you guys would react to my piano, after not being tuned for 4 months, with raw audio, and no reverb. It seems like the general consensus is that my piano could use some work. I agree. And I'm considering it. All or nothing though. I would be getting new strings, pins, hammers, felts, and of course a voicing to make sure its ready to go! With a good tech this will be expensive. I'm waiting to hear back about quotes. From there I decide if I should go for it, or move on from this piano.

I would move on from the piano maybe? Once you start replacing strings, hammers, pins etc... It's not your piano anymore, it's not the beast you fell in love with. The tone is different, the feel is different and the connection you have with it is different. It might end up being a good thing, but it could be bad. You don't get to 'test drive' how the piano will feel and sound before you've paid for all of that work to be done. The safer option is to sell up and look into buying something more stable and to your taste that you can actually play before hand... one way or the other, you're too skilled a player to not be playing something you absolutely love. But I mean, realistically for us viewers it just sounds like the Yamaha just needs tuning... But if there's a whole heap of problems with it under the surface, I'd consider moving on!

Kyle - I've been a long time fan of yours, and I mean a LONG time fan (going back to your Canon in C no5 from 16ish years ago), and you never disappoint.
