💯✏️ I’d love to go back to Dublin over Christmas and like you mentioned New York City. My current favourite place that I’ve been at Christmas is back home in Newfoundland, which is a little island on the east coast of Canada. The towns are always so lit up and even the boats that are moored in the harbours are aglow.

Good job with the writing! My two best friends live abroad and it can be hard at times not having them closer, just for the daily things. So I totally sympathise with you guys wanting to make visiting each other a more frequent thing. Good luck with you grading :)

I need to catch up on Tamzin's visit. Very behind on watching Vlogmas. I've been posting most days but the health has flared a bit, and I am trying to be gentle with myself. It's so hard! I relate 100% to what you're saying about pacing and knowing what is right for your body. It does take some years of dealing with fibro to get a sense of what's right. And of course, it changes, but it's good to figure out a general baseline. I really want to get into a daily writing habit! 📝 I’ve been to NYC during the holidays and it’s so beautiful! I think I’d like to go to Ireland or Scotland during the holidays.

The fatigue usually gets better within a few days of wrapping up all the grading and logging off work for winter break. I’m so ready.

I didn't get to comment on the vlog before this, but on the student side at another university, this semester has been tough for so many of us. I thought it was tough because it is my senior year but it was rough overall. It was good and lots of personal growth especially through my creative writing class. We had to compile our work and revisions into a portfolio. I am going to print and bind it at an office supple store to remember this achievement. I hope the rest of your grading goes well and you continue to have fruitful writing days. My last final is on Monday, so I hope I can get to writing again later next week.

There are some students in my classes who I'm 99% sure just don't think the work is important, but yes, it's been a really tough semester for all of my students, so I give as much flexibility as I can and work with them as much as possible. I'd rather give extra kindness to students who don't "deserve" it than not give any kindness or compassion at all. I've noticed the last couple of years have been harder than before the pandemic and I think part of it is because everyone is trying to get back to "normal" but we're all burned out and all of our lives have changed a lot. Good luck with your last final and getting back to writing!

Hopefully you're able to go back to England next year! Everything is so expensive so I understand the struggle. Glad you got some writing in! So close to your winter break, im behind so it's probably already started 😅 Christmas city would be Leavenworth Washington! It's a Bavarian town and very cute.

I really hope I can save up enough money to go to England. I'm going to be working very hard to sell more books and get more attention on this KZbin channel. :) And omg, I really want to visit Leavenworth Washington one day, I've seen pictures and it looks incredible!

🪈✔️💯 I hardly remember my childhood Christmases so I don't know what my family did before I was old enough to decorate (Mom, bless her heart, was never big on it). I go all out for Christmas especially for my nephew and niece. But it's getting harder every year between working remotely for 40 hours, co-parenting 2 kiddies, and writing my novels to publish one day - I'm so beat! Nevertheless, the expectation of decorating is there so I always deliver 😅 I won't mind going to South Korea, Paris, or Greece during Christmas time just to see what goes on over there during the season BUT I would like to see Walt Disney World at Christmas time. The Happiest Place On Earth meets the Happiest Season On Earth? The inner child in me would be screaming 😂.

As my name is Skye, I'd love to visit the Isle of Skye. Not necessarily for Christmas, but just overall. I love the idea of spending Christmas in a castle. Again, don't care where, but that sounds like it would be a blast! 💯📝✍️

I love Watched Walker, especially this time of year with all the Christmas walks :) I would love to see you in London around Christmas. Spending time in London around Christmas is very high on my bucket list. Could you explain how adsense works? ✍

London at Christmas is pure magic. It’s my favorite time to visit. ☺️ it’s definitely bucket list quality. With Adsense, basically KZbin creators who are monetized (like me) earn money from the ads on our videos. So the ad that plays before the video starts and the ones that play during the video. We split that money with KZbin. It varies per video and per channel, some videos/content advertisers spend more on than others. But we have an RPM or “rate per mille” (rate per 1000 views) that we earn. This usually equates to a few cents per view. The longer someone watches a vlog, the more ads they see, the more a channel earns. So turning off an ad blocker if you use it and letting a vlog play all the way to the end is the easiest way to support a KZbin creator. ☺️

If you and Tamzin want to go ahead with the every other year visiting plans so that you have a full year or so to save up between visits, I love the idea of you going on December 2025 (less stress for you) and then spring/summer 2027 like you wanted to originally do 2025. I'm here for the visiting each other every year where one of you visits the other and you alternate who where every year. It's so exciting!

📝 My favorite place I've been at Christmas time is Washington state. I used to live there, they'd usually get snow around that time.I also miss my friends there. But other than that, I would say the place I'd want to go to during Christmas would be Paris.

Washington state would be amazing at this time of year. I'd really love to do a whole Pacific Northwest trip, Portland, Seattle, and Vancouver are are places I want to visit.
