I'm so glad you made the wise decision of limiting your revision of the morning before your afternoon exam. During one of my Uni exams last exam season, I spent 6 hours revising until around half an hour before the exam - all because I was too tempted to squeeze every possible second of revision that I could. Problem was, this just overwhelmed me. Furthermore, even on the topics I heavily revised that day, when they came up, I found the information had all merged together and my formulae became unrecognisable. This lead to a score in the low 50s and was the only one not just below or significantly higher than a first. I was gutted, and learned a valuable lesson in restraint.

Jake well done I have recommended your blogs to all prospective undergrads - you come across as a very thoughtful, intelligent and purposeful fellow - I wish you every success for your future: do let us know 1/ result of exams / 2/ progress in first job . You seem to be the sort of chap who'd make a very good academic tutor in the field, as well as a potential researcher! Stephen Fry was also at Queens - you are a good "foil" Philip (Trinity 1960) retired senior lecturer: now STEM Ambassador and private tutor (Physics & Maths)

I've fallen behind my my JW vlog viewing. Catching up now. These last few vlogs make me nervous, even though I know how things tuned out. The absence of music really reminds one how much it adds to the vlog, particularly the time lapses. When I start blogging again a portion of my posts will be vlog music recommendations for Jake. Thanks to Apple Music I've discover (and re-discovered) some really interesting music.

Has Jake released his results over social media or something? I can't deal with this stress not knowing what he got for his results. Forget the anxiousness Jake was feeling in the video, this is something completely different.

2:1 is mixed bag as many universities have different standards work loads and difficulties of the course. At some elite universities like Cambridge getting a 2:1 is very difficult and a real achievement. At some weaker universities with weaker courses I wont mention names getting a 2:1 is easy and not impressive at all. Jake did very well to get a 2:1 from Cambridge. the highest you can get is usually a first however getting that from Cambridge would be very difficulty indeed. There is actually a grade higher then a first, which is a starred first but this is the stuff of legend and whilst it has happened before its almost unheard of. I do not think Cambridge ever give out starred firsts though.

So looking back would you rather have done computer science by your self for 3-4 years and created something popular and made money or still done the degree?
