It's always amazing to see how many lives were impacted by my uncle. I appreciate all of the kind words left in the comments. We just assumed he would be here for many more years to come and are still in shock. I appreciate channels like this with large followings that disseminated his messages. He always spoke what was true and what we needed to hear, and he shaped my faith as he has shaped many of yours. Remember, if you ever find yourself missing him, go to the next available mass and he and all of the saints in Heaven will be praying along side you.

Can’t help thinking about the part in 2Timothy ch 4 where St Paul writes about fighting the good fight and finishing the course. Fr Mark seems to be punching extremely hard here and sprinting to the end of the course. Lord grant him rest🙏🏼🙏🏼

Mark was my classmate. I spoke to him at our class reunion in 2004. He explained how he was entering the priesthood and was sleeping on a bed in a dormroom. I am SO sad..I live in Huntington Beach, CA, and found Fr. Mark this year. I have listened to his Homily every week since I found him. I looked forward to his Homily, even after hearing our own local homily on Sunday at mass. I loved his sense of humor, his stories, his teaching, and his message. I am filled with tears for his Mother and his family. Yet I know, based upon our faith, and how he walked the walk, Fr. Mark is with Jesus, and has finally met God. I didn't know of Fr. Mark Beard. Unfortunately and in truth I missed so much. I will begin to watch his Sunday homilies, they are what my soul needs and I'm certain this showed up in my feed today because God knows I need it. All glory to you God! I send my deepest condolences to his family, friends and his congregation. May God grant us more priests like him, it is so painful not to have the right guidance and help because I want to be a GOOD CATHOLIC, just like Fr. Beard said , but it's such a difficult struggle when we don't have an incredible priest like him . May he be resting in the Lord's arms 🙏🙏🙏

It’s not about a priest or the pope or any one person. It’s about our sacraments. Go to Mass every Sunday to receive Jesus. Go to confession regularly. Become involved in your parish. Read up on our catechism. Start with Bishop Robert Barron. He’s excellent!! Make a commitment to become a better Catholic. You can also review Fr. Beard’s previous homilies. Thank you for the truth Father Mark! I never knew you, but thanks for telling us to get off the fence! This homily alone will have believers and nonbelievers quaking in their boots!
