Final reading of Te Whakatohea iwi settlement claims

Hundreds of descendants from Te Whakatohea witnessed the third and final reading of their treaty settlement claims at Parliament today. Whilst the day marks the new beginning for the iwi, question is what's next for Te Whakatohea? Te Okiwa McLean reports.

REMEMBER most of the constabulary working for the English against the Maoris were infact Maoris But i can see why ,most were probably relatives of other tribes butchered and cannibalised .

No MOST were not working for the English and and the crown did the vast vast majority of the butchering.
