Hey Raven, for the sets of 3 pots on the patio, you can get rolling plant stands that would allow you to switch them easily for more even sun exposure. They have nice modern looking ones that would match your aesthetic!

To drill a hole in the flower pot. Put tape over the spot where you wanna make the hole and drill over the tape..... That should help you get a clean hole without cracking the pot with a normal drill bit😊

@@skyla611you can use scotch tape .. buried would layer it... you can also use running water...but either way you want to drill slow so you can control it...and keep it from cracking...

I think moving the succulents to under the covered area will help them last longer since full sun in Texas is too strong for those plants. Definitely cut those bloom stalks off now that they're done blooming. Also setting a weekly reminder in your phone to check your plants, will remind you to check the soil to see if it needs water. You can also set another reminder to switch the sides of your planters if you wanted.

2024, You have the most positive videos. When purchasing plants, I normally buy annuals. I also purchased my plants from Lowe's. If you buy plants that are outside that's direct sunlight, you buy the plants inside that's indirect sunlight. You need a spray bottle to keep the plants leaves on your patio moist. The three plant on the back of your home. Remove the stems growing out of the two, they will all catch up eventually. I'm still loving your swimming pool.❤

Your succulents are dying in the pot because they like bright indirect light. Add an umbrella, and they will be happy, do not over water. A hint someone taught me on plants. Place plants in your home as you found them at the store. So if they're inside, they're mostly for inside or very covered spots. If they're outside and under cover, can be outside but under cover. Outside and exposed, they go outside.

Also, flex seal ....you can spray the boxes to seal them and keep them from splitting again. Hope this helps!

Love it as always!! Definitely next time you wash the covers use baking soda and wash on cold to remove stains. Hot water sets stains and possibly shrinks the fabric cold water removes stains them.

To Zoe’s comment at 9:25? I was one of them. I love white too Raven but I was screaming no at my TV when I lived in Louisiana Also, I think your plants are dying because you’re not checking if they’re root bound when you take them out of their store pots. To encourage growth so they establish themselves, use some sterilized (rub em with rubbing alcohol) and cut about half of those roots off. They’ll grow back. Mix your soil with pearlite and some straw mulch. The rocks are good for keeping moisture but don’t water your plants from the top. The water doesn’t go all the way to the bottom. You can either get the things the water sits in and allows your plants to drink from the bottom. Or bury a smaller pot with drainage holes into your big pots. Your plants will drink as it needs. Put small rocks/gravel at the bottom of the pot so that the water can drain to the bottom of it while the root and plant are closer to the top. Good luck!

Buy planters to scale for the pool area. Rectangular. Get bug resistant plants to help with mosquitoes and creepy crawlies. Beautiful patio. Excellent job.❤❤❤

Raven, you need to use pressure treated wood for the fire boxes, regular wood and water do not mix. You also need to use exterior paint and sealant so the paint will last throughout the different seasons.

Are you able to use scotch guard on your outdoor pillows? It may help to add a little extra protection against the elements. They can even be used on the pillows that are meant for indoors as well since you’re using them outdoors.

Raven, If I may offer a few suggestions, I think adding small spike uplighters would be nice to add to your outdoor potted plants! Also, maybe consider adding a glass or stone portable tabletop fire pit on either side of the pool in place of what you have now.
