It's because he can't shill MvCi anymore cause the game is dead and even Capcom doesn't care anymore so JWong needs to try and make his money elsewhere now.
@LoadedKlip6 жыл бұрын
Was Justin even that strong in MvCi? I don't recall seeing him winning much. SonicFox and Chris G seem to be the ones winning MvCi tournaments for the most part that I noticed.
@aKidNamedBeebee6 жыл бұрын
There was a stream that he did where people asked him which was more fun: marvel or dbz He basically said marvel was more fun to play, and that he felt he could win a dbz tourney no problem and that marvel would be more challenging. We see here that this isnt the case :p

If Justin's just coasting on his fundamentals and the concepts he knows from Mahvel, he was lucky to get this far in the tournament. I wouldn't be surprised if he dropped this game, given that he didn't care enough to learn it before entering a major.
@williamcronshaw52624 жыл бұрын
I think Justin competes just for the sake of it, he used to enter MK9 tournaments back in the day despite not actually owning the game or playing it outside of tournaments. And, to be fair, he'd get pretty far for a guy who was relying on pure fundamentals and basic knowlege alone.

not really, dragonball fighterz button inputs are relatively very easy and mostly single button, so a pad is still very viable to use, aside from that, im gonna take an example from tekken, some of the combos in that game needs at least 2 or more buttons to combo, such as king, his grapple combos are hard to finish on the pad if youre only a thumb user, in which you have to memorize the LBLT RBRT triggers to make it work in your style and or favor, well dunno if this makes sense to you but ehh, i end my explanation here
@eviigeniuz6 жыл бұрын
Terroir yeah but i think he'd be able to do the inputs more consistently on a fightstick, but a pad is certainly viable and more compact tho
@terroir50016 жыл бұрын
the closest game i know that has button inputs thats relatively easy is only under night inbirth exelatest, which i think, the button inputs are about the same if without the character assist inputs

Sheep currently it is. J Wong is not a talented player. He has excellent read skills from experience but his actual fighting game prowress is purely based on practice. He is a player that practices for hours to do so well. Also, he needs to research on a team comp better than a meme team
@FolkenSRK6 жыл бұрын
That can be said just about anyone. What good player doesn't have extensive hours of training behind them?
@corvo26966 жыл бұрын
Cheng Chung Chow It's not just stopping at extensive. It's maniacal. JWong and Mew2king are the 2 better fighters that get to the top through sheer practice. What I mean is their raw talent in the game itself is actually average or even worse. I got to orange skill level on steam at demon rank with only 2 hours total in training and I still know I'm complete trash cause I haven't practiced most combos for shit. My team in SSB Goku, Gohan and Piccolo. I literally just do feints so they fall for the dragon rush.

Mrfox aos But his playstyle was extremely defensive and campy, relying on baits and retaliation instead of heavy pressure when he played Marvel 2. In 3 he played more on the aggressive side, but he's always had the reputation as the defensive camper in fighting games.

I just entered here by curiosity. It's a pain watching this....I mean, this is Skullgirls with dbz characters! Is this the supposedly the best DBZ game ever? In fact, the game looks like a PS2 game with slightly better graphics and one or two random animations to impress the feeble-minded, there is absolutely no hype in here, everything is just landing huge combos and calling assists every two seconds...that's all your strategy. It makes me cringe to see that fights in a Db game are so ground-based...nobody is seeing the naked king here? This game looks like it could been a great hit if it was released in 2010. It doesn't bring anything new to the table
@CanalSDR6 жыл бұрын
Mikhail Varkovsky I still prefer to play Dbz budokai 3 of PS2. I bought this new game and I felt like I've been playing MVC( I don't mean MvC series are bad game, I do love it so much actually that's why I got them all) but I would like to vary the game and when I go for a new DBZ game I have another variation that I am already playing. Thus, I do regret purchasing it.
@mikhailvarkovsky41506 жыл бұрын
DBZTB3 is a real DBZ game. I must have played a few matchs once this year with my big brother, still felt that adrenaline rush of having a very close match. A very great game, indeed. Love MvC games as well. Too bad this new dbz game is essentially a MvC, which is ok, but in my opinion it doesn't recreate a DBZ experience per sé (overuse of assists, ground based battles, corner pressure, they even bounce on invisible walls...) What is worse, it doesn't look like a 2018 game...2D is okay but only if it is something actually original. Nowadays we have so much more technology than even before. They could have come up with something actually creative instead of making a lazy MvC game with dbz characters and slightly better than ps2 graphics.
@Allourmanfam6 жыл бұрын
I love your analysis but it’s hard to recreate dbz when dbz is from the 90s to begin with. Nearly every db game since 2001 has been full 3D and anime characters are not 3D they are drawn on a cel. This is hard to do
@ghostbladevanguard5146 жыл бұрын
Mikhail Varkovsky if you have the game at home you know the graphics are simply stunning as fu*k and its the first dbz game thats tourney viable wich is great every move is a reference to the anime or manga like every move so yeah I think its a pretty hype game xv felt like garbage to me punching in the air and still hitting the hitboxes where shit to unbalanced for my taste and cac I found disgusting it took away from db xv
