Well, it is debatable. 1. we should look bigger picture, not just some tournaments, when MG played very well at the end (2 playoffs and MVP). She prevailed 2 times in playoffs just right after majors (!) . 2. digging deeper one can see, that in real sense of fight MG "beat" KT just once (MVP), although she was on top 3 times this season (1st major, Festival and MVP). That is what makes her so happy this time. 3. for some reasons, there can be some, KT faltered in the end /2 last tracks (my main guess is, that she is not fit physically yet to play constantly at very high level - her 2 last event ratings were 1008 and 1009). 4. I agree, MG has progressed this season in terms of winning.

Kristin is still the best! Mid-season she was out with injury for 2 months and missed several competitions. Still has most wins and podium finishes this year and almost won the pro tour despite receiving points from 2(!) events less compared to top competitors. And even if she is choking a bit, the scene is more interesting for it.
