Even the tools you throw out, could be very needed by others! One is only as good as their tools & in this day & age, a lot of folks don't know how to fix themselves, much less their car nor house! I pride myself in tools & hate to not have a tool when needed!!! In watching two of your garage sale tool finds, there was many things that caught my eye! Good video as always!

You have a lot of great things from all 3 videos. Wish I was close to you. Some of the things that you don't want I could use. You will figure it out. You're having fun and that is what is good, and your saving some good tools from the scrap yard. And teaching some of us what some of the tools are. That's good. Keep it up. Would love to talk to you if I was close. You remind me of my old machine shop teacher. I learned a lot from him. I restore hit miss engines and use a lot of tap and dies because of the old bolts and nuts. Keep the videos coming. Love them.

22:28 That is a greenlee punch for making holes in electrical panels. You start with a hole to fit the 1/2 inch, then go up to the size you need to make …. 3/4 1 1-1/4, 1-1/2 etc This stuff definitely came from an electrician. I also live in Illinois just behind Ohare airport. where are you near???

I am a machining and tool auction addict, so I always feel comaradary when you show these videos. I just love always having what I need on hand, or what I "might" need some day. It is also a fun and cheap way to build up a pretty nice inventory of tools and supplies. Of course the most fun part is going through the box lots after you get home to see what hidden treasures you got. Just saying, I can completely relate. Keep up the great videos! There are some other very good machinist youtube video makers out there, but I have to say, you are my favorite.

With amusement I`ve watched the three videos; I knew you could not stay away from a good estate tool sale! Been awhile since I`ve checked in, I`m glad to see you are still at it! I`ve done the same thing at countless sales over the years and for me it was always the thrill of the "hunt" never knowing what I`d find. But, I`am preaching to the choir. First video I spotted that orange scroll saw as you walked by without grabbing. Can`t believe no one else did either! LOL Well sir, I`ve had a blast watching your videos and hope you continue to make more. Thank you so much! Think I`ll watch them again.

Porter Cable made a fuel cell powered nail gun similar to that Paslode. The fuel cell in the gun would leak over time. Every time I went to use it the damn thing it was empty. Glad you went back to help those folks clean up. The past 2 weeks I have drove into the country for garage sales listing lots of tools. Nothing but a wasted trip. Basically they are liying. Personally I think your scroll saw is good for its age. Get some Olson scroll saw blades that will fit it and see how smooth and straight it cuts. Ladies really take to using them and set up little work areas. Young kids too. All of those old Illinois houses with the old wood porches and filigree trim that is broke or missing pieces are a source of a little work.

Indeed, I do enjoy these types of videos, Mr.Pete. We used to use those Armstrong clamps in the tool & die shop for hoisting the dies up onto the workbenches. (Hope OSHA wasn't listening to that.) They were the only clamps we trusted to do that very dangerous thing. I have that same drill press but mine has Companion cast into the belt guard. It was my Dad's from 1937 and still works as good today, as it did back then. mine only has the single rod, quill handle that can be slid to one end to increase leverage. The scroll saw is definitely, a Hegner with a factory stand- big bucks. Scroll sawing had a resurgence of popularity in the early 80's and Hegner seemed to be the saw that everyone was clamoring for. That, and the RBI brand.

Well, I guess it's a crap shoot at a garage sale. You never know until the tool hits the work, if you got your money's worth, no matter how much you know. But so long as you had fun (and I had fun watching), it was well worth the price of admission! Question; towards the tail of the video, you came up with a few tired old countersinks. Does the Lyle grinder have the range of adjustment to re-edge those? "Inquiring minds want to know". PS: I'd love to see a video of your Moline 445 in action! Take us for a ride!

well I have watched a bunch of your videos and shared your exiuberance and loved it.... but in video 2 you had a whole series of letter/number stamps in wooden , which you valued/- but there was a plastic tub of other letter stamps which you dismissed as junk, but from what I could see in that quick dismissal, they had serifs on the letter, while the boxes were plain jane straight letter stamps. Those in the [;astic jar are much older, and scarcer-not to many folks pay attention to the "font' of the letters, but let me tell you I can buy plain-jane letter stamps at any discount store, but try to find the stamps with the serifs, well that's another story- to me, the ones you dismissed as junk were the best of the bunch, but that's just me Eric-whom keeps tuning in!

Yes we like it!! I saw that drill press in last weeks videos, and was wishing the sale was closer to me. Another very entertaining video.

The base on the drill press was cracked and welded. It was so dirty I did not see that at the garage sale

Boy more stuff, watch out stuff will take over the earth, garage by garage. Time for a yard sale. Fun video, enjoyed.

enjoyed....while watching I was wondering if you had “buyer remorse”, sometimes the want is better than the have....lol, I like the rawhide hammer which is on my list of future buys......

Coincidentally my neighbor started mowing when I started to watch your video so I cannot tell your mowing neighbor from mine. Thanks for the video.
