Very ingenious with the trailer jacks ! I thought i have seen it all and still learn something new every once in a while.

I wish I could say I thought of it all on my own. I did see a guy out of Australia so basically the same thing with them. I have been winging it with overcoming obstacles on this project. This is my first time doing any of it. Thanks for watching and commenting.

That is a great thought. I wonder how difficult it would be to find a hood to cut it out of. Thanks for sharing your thought on it.

Hello, you 're very creative, good job ! One thing I just want to put out there. The frame should of been a little wider. The frame may flex a lot. So, I sure you have a plan. Keep up the great job.
@DCAutoEnhancement12 сағат бұрын
@@davidrodriguez-rk4ee thank you! I didn't think the width of the frame was an issue since the s 10 body was about the same width as the Ranchero. If I'm being honest, I'm learning as I go an figuring things out along the way. As for a plan, no all I have is a vision! 😂 Thanks again!

Your welcome and I’ve done a few LS swaps and have found the truck intake doesn’t make any more power the the car one and it doesn’t even give enough extra torque to notice it in a vehicle the car intake clears much better on low hood clearance applications and likes RPM much better and the tach still works off a tach signal it just comes from the ECM and the gauges all work off sending units just like old cars the only difference is the signal comes threw the ECM you can get a pin out of you harness and it will tell you which wire sends which signal to the cluster it takes time but it will work and if you are going aftermarket Holley and MSD both have easy to use systems that are plug and play and will have provisions to run the old gauges and there are adapters for the Speedo to use a cable speedo with a electrical transmission

@@terryharrison8384 thank you. I certainly could use this information going forward. Do you do any write ups in forums or KZbin at all. Those are the details that I would love to be able to find more information on. I am doing this as a "budget build" (I think we all know how that goes). I didn't intend on going extravagant with anything.
@terryharrison838414 сағат бұрын
You can use Camaro LS1 intake and accessories and clear the hood and vintage gauges work well with LS swaps but you can also look at your local pick and pull and see if any OEM cluster would look good to you with the large opening the ranchero has a GM cluster should fit
@DCAutoEnhancement14 сағат бұрын
@@terryharrison8384 thank you for the ideas. I looked into other intakes, I found a lot of people were saying the truck intake is the best flowing intake and I don't think there is anything I will be able to do to clear the hood due to the "body drop". I will certainly take another look at the intakes. I need to find more information on the gauges and how they communicate with the ECM. I could maybe consider a Camaro cluster. Thanks again!

I never thought of that. I will entertain that idea. I wonder how hard it would be to find one. I live in the midwest where old things tend to rust pretty badly. Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts.

@@67goingthing I understand. If you noticed, it's not set in stone. I went with the LS because I don't know anything about engine swaps and I know there is a ton of information and support for LS swaps. I should mention it would most likely be less expensive as well. I hope you can give us a chance. This is my first ever build. Thanks for taking a look!
