Glad to see Rubiks taking speed cubing more seriously

It really is, I’d love to see them break out into more unique cubes too and bring them mainstream

I just picked up the 3x3 speed cube by a lucky mistake. I am glad I didn't chose the other Rubik brand 3x3. That would have been a terrible cube. I am satisfied with the Rubik's speed cube. As other non Rubik branded cubes are not even available in any toy store.

I mean its true tho - people who aren't familiar with good speed cubes like GAN and Moyu finally have a decent option in the Rubik's Speed Cube

I think the one after that DIY "speedcube", they partnered with gan to make one that i heard was good (rsc and then later rereleased by gan as the gsc) And this one I'm pretty sure is similar to the gan collab except its magnetic this time

I just got this Rubiks speedcube. It IS a step up from standard rubks brand... But that's not saying much... But this $32 (Australian dollars) Rubiks, magnetic cube, feels worse quality than the $2.99 unmagnetized Moyu 3x3, they sell at my local dollar store. (I think its a "Moyu 3m"? The cheapest, most basic Moyu 3x3, anyway) The Rubik's is heavy, and poorly-constructed; NONE of the tiles are properly seated, so it constantly creaks and squeaks and feels spongy... The corner-cutting is SLIGHTLY better than older Rubik's... but still terrible... And even the colours are kinda muddy, and hard to read in low light... While the Moyu that cost under 1/10th the price, at the same mall, is lightweight, but sturdy, and solid; it doesn't creak or wiggle at all. It's corner cutting is pretty good, and colors are bright and readable. I guess it's good that Rubiks are improving, and it,'ll probably introduce people to speedcubing, because the Rubiks brand= much more shelf space in more shops... But you will ALWAYS be better off, buying even the cheapest Chinese 3x3, from decent budget brands like Moyu or Qiyi, who make a far better puzzle, far cheaper.
