The USA is getting a little extreme on the lawsuits for accessibility. Thus, this clearly is not, since the toilet space is tiny. So, the fly by night lawsuits would descend like locusts, because every company that sold a round toilet in the USA gets sued, if they do not offer the elongated and higher model. Which is sorta silly, when retrofitted to a second floor location.

Love the look. I do need a real kitchen and not the tiny wet bar that most of the cool prefabs consider a kitchen. We don’t live on sandwiches over here! 😀 I’m with you on the exteriors. Love that black and cedar combo, and a lot of container homes and tinies are doing that as well. I may go with a tiny after all, just because they offer more inside and cost a great deal less. Besides, I don’t have land, and at my age, I don’t really want my kids to have to deal with that when I head out to the great wherever. Just give me a big deck, warm sun year ‘round, and I’m happy.

exact opposite problem i dont need a huge suburban chefs kitchen as the entirety of my home/personality . then put an army cot in it as my bed/couch with a gymbag worth of clothes and a 3'x8' bathroom , drive to a laundromat all the time , thats not for me . i neeeed a small kitchen with a cafe table and 2chairs across from the mini kitchen . loveseat across from tv. bedroom next to den bath just past the bed. walkin shower. laundry combo unit . because arthritis no loft . and heck if texas would let me put it on a slab instead of wheels im happy. arthritis and 52yrs old on 50% disability from VA . 1 cat . = to or < 1/5 acre is good . i might splurge on brick walls and metal roof . some solar power . covered carport for the jeep. it needs be very small but slightly bigger than tiny AND NOT A MASSIVE KITCHEN. we ( you and i ) should be able to get the house we need not what some company decided was trendy.

Best price point yet for a cool looking livable sized house. The biggest problem with most US companies is pricing. Once they have a factory up and running you would think they could price down their homes. You could build a traditional home for what most are asking, especially for the shed sized models. As with the smallest size here, you are better off with a shed from Home Depot.

Before you make such a claim about comparison with sheds from Home Depot....have you EVER looked at costs TO DO IT YOURSELF... of what is included in these homes that is NOT in Home Depot SHEDS??? and i mean everything from insulation /inside wall, full bathroom , plumbing, appliances , cabinets, etc....I agree that MOST US TINY HOMES ARE SO PRICEY FOR WHAT GET, but Home Depot is not comparable...AND some of the homes we see like these on Kerry's vids are so reasonable when look at costs and what actually GETTING, which most places now regular homes whether buy or rent or make yourself are up by about 3 times what cost just a couple or few years ago...and NOT what some THINK THEY COST TO MAKE NOW.
@Flyingrabbit2222 Жыл бұрын
@@marianl3447 I agree, Home Depot sheds are not finished products, only a starting point. It really depends on what you are looking for..... If you want a luxury shed sized unit, these are one of the better ones he's seen...shame they aren't in the US. But many home depot sheds are larger than these and most people are capable of installing insulation and wall board. An electrician and plumber would be needed for either project. I love Kerry's site. He does a good job of explaining these and I keep hoping to find something here. But to me...a shed is a shed and i really don't value high end features or appearance in the smaller sizes. I'm an artist and do some wood working. I need SPACE over finishes and I cringe every time I see too much glass as I live in the south and it gets very hot and humid.. A shed like this would drain money I need to spend on a house. The larger house here is nice for someone who wants to live in a tiny house and the price is very reasonable. It all depends on what you are looking for and how you want to spend your dollar.

Nice ! I'm just not a fan of small pointed roofs. I understand it's good for snow load, but imo it gives them the look of a "mobile home roof over". The single roof (if that's what you call them ) like on the garden studio, looks better with the contemporary design, and gives a better option,I think, for a loft .
@jeepsanddragons Жыл бұрын
shed roof is ur preference . gable roof at this low a pitch is bothersome . do want to suggest if u had 8 to 12 pitch as is more common on typical house , you might like it better , as opposed to im guessing the 4 to 12 or lesser pitch used on these smaller prefabs. another thing you might like is dutch hipped roof or gambrel roof . the reason the gable roof looks wrong on mobile homes/trailers and prefab is the pitch/slope is off due to the skinnyness of the structure , particularly when on wheels rolling down the highway got to fit under the overpass. more stable for a traila up on blocks in high wind areas to use a low pitch roof with no eaves.

Thank you for your channel! I, too, find the number of offerings head-spinning. It would be very valuable if we could download an up-to-date spreadsheet of homes on offer with all features so we could sort them according to our needs, wants, means, etc. I know it would entail a lot of work to create and maintain such a resource but it would be worth a lot of... cheddar to those of us trying to get the best deal for an ADU, etc. You could offer it as a pay-to-download, or a subscription that would be updated periodically. I would happily pay to have a resource like that -- it would save us a LOT of time and stress and put some extra money in your pocket. Just a thought. Keep up the good work.

Interesting and thanks for sharing, but yikes prices are not realistic in America or most everywhere else in the world. Shame there aren't more options for select markets, but I'm looking for options soon and not really interested in Popular Science mag future dreams that never make it to the States or otherwise. Sorry if this sounds critical, so keep up your efforts and maybe one day.
