great video! just a heads-up, the black knights are actually a 4.1mm switch and not 3.6mm. they were measured with calipers by members of the wooting discord and confirmed a mistake by moyu studios themselves. edit: reworded for clarity

I liked the quieter sound of the v2 but I prefered the dark knight or the pro pinginess over the scratchness of the v2

Am I crazy for not liking the clacky sound of the dashes? I seem to like the deeper sound of the lekker v2? But everyone seems to like the Jade and Dash sounds more? The high pitch clack to me drives me crazy and the quieter the better.

that's completely fair. I am also more of a fan of the deeper sound and quieter but I do see where they are coming from as the Lekker has this specific feel when it bottoms out and a slight rattling sound from the spring while the others have more of a smoother feel and cleaner sound

@ are the v2 lekker switches smoother? It feels like most channels for keyboards focus on sound signatures (which is good) but I just want quiet and smooth action haha. I wear open back headphones so the quieter and smoother the switch the better. And thanks for replying! :)

@ the Lekker V2 aren’t as smooth as the others but smoother than the V1. But out of the ones in my video I would say the quietest

Yes, you would be able to use the Black Knights and make adjustments in the Wootility software like Lekker switches that came with the Wooting

Yes I am Korean! 😊 I think it’s due to the fact that the Jade Pro is now an upgrade from the original Jade and not as expensive as the new Max ones, but this would be my assumption or guess in terms of business perspective.

The black knights are actually a full travel 4.0mm switch, I have them and have confirmed with calipers as have others in the wooting discord. It’s an error on the spec sheet most companies are using on their store fronts. Just FYI

Yeah I pinned a comment on the video but the Black Knights are able to do the full range, I was surprised as well it seems the manufacturers mistake in terms of the range. I will do a sound test for pretty much all the major switches with the 80HE 😊

Great video! Ive been watching your content lately on all the HE news and developments. I struggled to hear much of a difference in these switches but im hoping to get the least "chattery" switch I can that has a deep sound profile. I was excited for that black knight until you saod their feel was weird. Im torn between the RAW, Dash, and Jade Pro. Which of these do you think would suit my preference the best?

are the any downsides not using lekker switches, for example does the software with all its features still work or is for example the actuation point not as granulate configurable?

@@BlackgoldTwinduck in terms of actuation no downside the only would be if you buy a switch that doesn’t go all the way to 4mm then you would be losing the extra distance and the only place I would personally find that issue would be if you want to use the gamepad feature and require every little amount of distance playing say an rpg game, which I think would still be doable with the lesser range say for example 3.5 or 3.6mm

Are the Black Knight switches better than the default Lekker v1 switches do you think? wanna upgrade to a better switch for my old 60he

For sure it is an upgrade, but if you like lighting the Black Knights won't be great for lighting. The lekker V1s are not really great switches, really many of the new switches will be upgrades compared to it.

@ I don’t mind too much about lighting to be honest. As long as they feel smooth and sound good out the box aha. Yeah I agree. I think the default switches are terrible. They have so much wobble and don’t really sound that great. I was going to get the lekker v2 but it seems as though it’s been out of stock for a while now so gonna try these instead. Some people have said the lubing on these black knight ones are quite bad, do you think I could use them without lubing them? Thanks

@@ea5479 I would say stock isn't great honestly it will need to be lubed. If you want one and don't want to lube Geon Raw is good, but it's definitely higher pitched

The difference would be weight but I can test the sound as well with the 80HE once it arrives as mine is coming with both 60 and 45 V2

New sub after watching some of your videos, love the comparisons and everything. My question for you is do you plan on trying the Glorious switches and seeing if they are compatible with other boards? They have several linear, silent linear, and even a tactile and silent tactile HE switch in the Glorious Pandas HE and I was really wondering what they sounded like and if they are compatible with other boards since I haven't heard anyone say anything about them?

hello, nice videos! I hope its ok to ask a question here. I'm new to custom keyboards. I'm trying to build a keyboard for a korean friend and since you are using korean keycaps, is there a fast/easy way to figure out if a keyboard supports korean language? I saw that wooting wrote in their description that they support all languages, but I didnt see it for other manufacturers. afaik the pcb has to support it since korean syllables have some complexity so not all keyboards support it or am I wrong?

Hello! Of course you can ask here not a problem. From my own experience I don’t think the PCB itself will have a requirement though I believe when they say multi language it maybe for more the firmware than the pcb itself. Pretty much ansi layout will do should do it and just make sure there is a right alt key as that is what will be used to change Korean to English within windows. You can get them Keycaps that also have KR on it but I bet they already memorized it so you can ask them if they really want it. As long as they have windows set up with Korean any keyboard should work, but again the software maybe where the issue will come up if no Korean and they want to make changes

i know original magnetic jade and ws dash are identical, just a different color so just compare stock jades to pro jades lol

Exactly what Mitch said, Dash is just recolor of the Jade, I used the dashes for sound test as my jade’s batch just had a scratchy sound issue. But the new Jade Pro is an upgrade of the original Jade
