I also swapped them out and holy i love the soynd and feel. ni grind, almost no wobble, deeper than jades, and a haptic and audible bottom out and release. RGB is super clear too. the only thing I would change are the stems like you said.

Yeah they are pretty good just wish they didn’t feel kinda cheap and the stem thing but other than that good. It’s nice to see how Hall effect switches are getting better

Thank you sooo much for following my suggestion and providing a single switch comparison and rgb due to housing color. It is as I imagined. The sound can be compared much much better! It was also interesting to see how a switch sounds on the 60 vs the 80. Take a look at the dash and the pro. On the 80 they sound almost the same but on the 60 they do not. Regarding the RGB, thanks again. This shows that the color actually has a quite large influence. The pro really messes up the color to be honest. Would probably be better if you would have set the other keys to white or no light at all. 😊 All in all this was amazing though, thanks again for performing those tests. 👍

Great video! Thanks for trying out the Max and the opinions section was very clear and helpful. I am using the Gateron Max with 28g 22mm springs and they are great! I find that the stem wobble is actually better than any of those other switches and the feel great (very smooth). Also, I actually prefer the keycaps being tight and I'm not really sure if it's the keycaps or the stems, but after a couple of removals they loosen quite a bit.😊👍

@mikeytypes Although it's probably true that there were some time constraints in the development of the Max, I do believe that the final product was fully developed. There have been quite a few examples of there having been pre-production and demo switches. So, I personally do believe that they've done the necessary testing and qc. I think that they have just rushed the release and missed packaging. On top of the box being wrong, the sticker on mine was super crooked. 🤣 I also believe that Gateron has been somewhat rushing the releases of different HE models. For example, due to the similarity of different models, I think that they design a "new" product, make a small change, and then just release them even if they aren't very good. For example, the new light diffuser is different on the Max and mini e as well as the dual rail stem design. The difference I found the most interesting was the regression in the bottom housing and stem design, meaning either they didn't like the new changes or the max was designed before and too far into production than the mini e which was released much earlier.🤔 You can literally use the new Max stem in the jade housing, Lol! They can probably afford this because the HE switch market is very small and even divided(depending on the magnet orientation), and people will buy anything due to the limited options. This is kind of unrelated, but what video of yours shows the mods you use for the 60he currently? Also, are there any mods you don't show? My top row literally sounds like the lekker v2s without the hollowness of the open bottom, and my middle row sounds more like the jades! 😭☠️

Good find on the switches one thing I’ll be doing next is see what Frankenswitch could work well. The most lately mods I haven’t had a video on but I’m currently working on trying to do a 60HE mod guide video comparing 3 cases wooden, tofu and ALUMAZE and three plates

@@mikeytypes I did try to put one layer of tape, but the keys with the stabs felt really mushy. It seems that I didn't poke the holes for the screws properly so I removed the tape but I have yet to do it again.

lekker v2 still best sounding to me, im rather "new" to custom keybords and boy oh boy the custom keybord rabbit hole has gotten so much deeper in the past 5 years would you call the lekker v2s "thocky" or "creamy"?

@@BlackgoldTwinduck the 60s I would say in the 80HE is kind like a creamier sound but still has like magnetic switch sound. With these Hall effect switches I find that compared to a mechanical switch you get a sound that is close but still missing the signature sound that mechanical switches do. The L45 V2 are more on the Thocky side slighter higher pitch than the 60

I would say wait on the Max for now just because of the quality control issues at the moment best to wait it out until it’s all sorted out. In terms of the V2 it is an upgrade and I personally like them but like if it’s for your 60HE honestly the Geon Raw or the Jade Pro would be a better bet at the moment from what I tried. I’m currently testing the Pudding and soon will have the Magnetos and I’ll make videos on them soon too

What color is your PC Plate for the 60HE+? I'm planning to buy one but can't pick the color, though from what I understand the White will have a better time reflecting RGB while black will struggle I think? (Also if it matters, I have a Black Alumaze60) Also in terms of the Gateron Jade Pro's, will the Green Top Housing affect RGB greatly if I use an all Blue or Red RGB on all my keys? I use a Blue Accent Darker to Lighter RGB Setup atm.

I got the white pc plate from wooting’s website but I bought the pc plate separately as mine was the 60HE+ or the module but I bought the prebuilt 60 HE and then bought the change plate after. I would say that it shouldn’t be that big of a change for the lighting as where the lighting will go through for the switch. In terms of the jade pro there will be a slight color difference for more lighter colors because of the green housing but more darker deeper colors should be okay

@@Guardborn I personally changed the stabilizers because mine were getting stuck, but mine wasn't the 60HE +. I think in general as the switches are 3.5mm travel longpole is better, but you may still be able to have no issues with the stock I would try with stock before changing them.

I did get new stabilizers! I personally just don't like the stock stabilizers that Wooting has been using, even for the 80HE. For the 60HE as mine isn't the module one, I bought the Designer Studio Plate mount ones. I do know though that when I was using the stock and using the Jades when they first released mine were getting stuck

@ I haven’t used their plate mount ones if you have the 60HE+ you could go with screw in ones the Knight V2 or the Tx AP long pole screw in. For plate mount I have used any of their long pole ones and just got the designer studio plate mounts. I haven’t had any issues with them so far but they aren’t long pole

Hi there, your vid just popped off in my recommandation and have to say you're doing a great job! Might have a question though: I'm kind of an (old) guy (haha), and I've been mostly used to a Corsair k70 rapidfire or logitech blue switches, what would you recommend to fit with a wooting 80HE (still Hall effect) close to what I had as I just got one for myself? I mean I got the lekker green and yellow, but idk something feels kinda off, even though I'm changed the actuation point I still feel I'm pressing those switches by mistake etc. Thanks for the review, you earned a sub!

I’m also wondering now if others are experiencing this because I have been noticing lately mine feels like it’s not actuating as quick I had originally set it as. Other good switches are the Geon RAW HE. Let me do some more testing but I would check out that video! As the ones in my 80HE video are the popular ones but I’m gonna try to do more testing if this is an issue with other switches as well if it is then it could possibly be like the software needing an update.

I've tried many differents things tbf, I'm coming from the wooting 60HE and I had the same issue with it that I went back to my old logitech PRO (HAHAHA what a shame I know), I've tried to raise my actuation point to the highest but something still feel kinda off.. Just to let you know I'm a big tryharder, many details has its importance for me, even for mouse (I've been in the same path with them, bought hundreds of them and the one coming the closest to my beloved old zowie ec2a is the logitech dex which I like a lot), but yeah i'm radiant on valorant, top eu on cs2, I feel it's the "clicky" switches that misses maybe for some reason, the feel of it, but I know there is no magnetic hall effect switches like that atm on the market right? Thanks again for everything dude, I'll check out your vid to see if it could help in some ways.

@@lo2k4ever hmmmm do you rest your fingers a lot on the switches? I’m thinking now possibly you put more pressure on the keys or you have bigger hands and that’s the reason why you end up accidentally pressing another key. Like for example even though I set the actuation to 4mm on some keys because when I play apex and need to react quickly I might end up pressing the wrong key. If this is while you’re gaming the best thing I could suggest is turn off the keys you don’t use. I think you may want to make the actuations even lower if what I’m assuming is correct and using heavier springs might do better for you
