Annette please,stop saying becareful.I know the feeling of a mother for her child,especially a new born one,but he is a loving father,and I am sure he will not harm him purposefully.Plus you might be hurting his feeling saying those words,but because he loves you,he sits on them.And another thing,please stop asking him obvious questions.You are a smart girl,picture him asking you:darling are you feeding the baby?When it obvious you are feeding the baby.You got my drift?There are some interesting reasons though, why people ask obvious questions,maybe you should look it up to see which is you.This is just a suggestion,not a command.So do not feel compelled to do so. If Annette was in Uganda, she would be carried by Slavi either to her mum or to Slavi's mum - wn old lady anyhow, who has had children and has experience with new borns, in order to allow Annette to rest. So that she can just sleep and wake up to breast feed and leave everything else about the baby to the mum. And for one month at least, they leave her there to recuperate! Her own body is hurting everywhere, so there are massages done, warm baths to soak in, etc Because giving birth is overwhelming! Our Annette here is being very strong, but there are things going on in her - hormonal and spiritual. What she needs is someone with experience to help her this first month as she goes through all this cocktail of tiredness, hormones trying to return to normal. Etc. Slavi is lucky he doesnt have me in place of Annette because i would just take one look at my baby and i would cry endlessly! The doctors were puzzled in hospital in France when i had my daughter. On the 8th day, the nurse found me quietly weeping my daughters cot. When asked what was wrong, i racked my brain and could not even understand it myself! I didn't know why i was crying and it was scary because the more i tried to understand it, the more i wept! The nurses had to call the doctors. They sat me down and started asking me very many questions until finally they put it to post Partum depression! Thankfully it lasted only one day. When i went home, i found a surprise party thrown for me by friends in my apartment and the hospital had decided to keep my baby for me for the first days and i would just go back and breast feed and that was all. When i talked to my friends at home, by the end of the night the weeping was forgotten. I talked to my friends about it and they were great to me about it and that was the end of that Episode. Another friend of mine, told me that when she was taken back home, one look at the sinkful of unwashed cups sent her crying endlessly like a cry baby! You see the homones go haywire. This is why we, in uganda, pack them off to their mums or mother-in-law, who will understand what's going on when they see it and take charge and make sure that that 1st month the mother is well taken care of because she too needs superior TLC much as the baby does. Hey, this is not a. Criticism of Slavi because he is immensely very caring. But it takes former mothers to understand what a new mother feels like. And i am writing this in direct response to the people who were talking about Annette saying ' be very careful,' - they dont know that giving birth is a major undertaking - our Annette here, who is very fit may make it seem easy, but it is no easy feat! Cut the girl some slack, you have not seen the worst with her! Right about now, she needs 5 - star treatment! Indeed for most of the first month after giving birth. NB: Someone should see a business opportunity in this - care-giving for new mothers and their babies - in the first month!
