Yes! For some reason it’s taboo for people to cry or not feel 100%. For Black men it’s even more taboo! We’re told as young boys that in order to be strong men we can’t be in touch with our emotions. I know for a fact that that kind of psychological mentoring has created alot of social repression which turns into aggression in some cases. I’m a black guy and i used to feel so ashamed for being a crybaby...but you know what, it keeps me in touch with my emotions and it actually helps to let it all out instead of trying to live by those toxic masculinity standards. I also can’t stand how alot of gay guys in my community and others push these toxic masculinity standards despite all that we’re still going thru to get to true equality! So to anyone who needs it...cry today, tomorrow, the next day and the day after...i promise you’ll sleep better and feel better too. Blessings y’all ✊🏾❤️✨

AsheCatsup 💋 it actually is grief. We grieve over losses... i.e. life, marriage, relationships, if your home burns down, etc ...anything that you invest your heart in. The grieving process kicks in and in a natural human response to loss. Do, yes, literal grief. Fun fact: the chemical makeup of tears from grief are literally different from other tears that come from other reasons from our eyes.

Aww babe I’m only 3 minutes in and you’re gonna make me cry. I’m going to finish watching, but everything is going to be okay 👑 Don’t ignore how you feel. Don’t repress it. Take the time to work through it. It takes work and it takes falling apart in the process, but it’s how you put yourself back together. You have to face whatever it is. Do not repress how you feel. Don’t run from it. Embrace your tears. There is healing in them. I’m hear if you ever need to talk or vent. I don’t know you, but I love you. And you’re young so I want you to work through this early in your life. The 30s are so much better than the 20s for me. Childhood structured us and sometimes we have to go back to find out why we feel how we feel now 💯

Imho this is what growth is. This is what a breakthrough is. Im proud of Will. He has unintentionally become a role model for me, not just in hair, but when he's eating well, working out, travelling, avoiding drinking alone, and now processing his feelings and doin difficult emotional labor. I watch videos and listen to audiobooks * about* motivation, self development, ect. But actually watching someone is more influential. I could go on and on about how this channel has helped me to stay focused and do healthy things.

I think the term you're looking for is "the straw that broke the camels back" Like you're dealing with so many things and repressing, trying to stay positive then one thing happens (could be as small as getting a parking ticket or as big as a horrific car accident) and you just completely break down. I feel for you so much Will. I'm not here to give you anymore corny sayings I just hear you brother. I hear you loud and clear. ✊🏾

I waited until my 20s to finally sleep with someone. He was the first guy I had been with. We got married and 3 years into it, whe he got his papers (he was from another country), that same month, he left me for our neighbor. I was crushed. So much pain. Now, It's been 3 years since we separated and I haven't dated anyone yet. BUT, I am happy now. It gets better. Before I would randomly cry in public for 'no reason' because of the overwhelming pain. I started to get physically ill. Now I know there is no sense IN shedding tears over someone who left me, someone who never cared about the pain I went through. What really helped me though was: 1. slowly learning my worth through good deeds; seeing how I create value to life by being a decent human being, 2. hearing others experiences; knowing I was not victim but blessed to be able to experience life. I could now give myself permission to see new days as opportunities for my renaissance (without having to consider the feelings/needs/time of someone who wouldn't so the same for me). Looking at those who 'found' life after a relationship and are happier than ever. (Even celebrities like jlo). I consciously choose to be a jlo. 3. remembering the bad moments. All the moments that showed me who my ex was and how that person really wasn't the one I needed or wasnt someone who really cared about me. Although it wasnt my choice we got divorced, in retrospect it was the best choice for me and my potential. and finally, 4. knowing that being alone isnt an 'end all, be all'. You never know what life has in store for you. I had a friend who found the LOVE of her LIFE and a few months after their second child he died in a car crash. Although she has now remarried, she says nothing can compare to what was. She misses him still. They never saw their living potential. Sometimes finding your one can be just as painful as finding the wrong one. As long as you have breath in your lungs and faith in your heart there is still a chance for you to shine and make life better for yourself and others cause we never know what people are going through. Hope this helps a little.

I can totally understand where you're coming from I've bottled my emotions for years and finally broke down once i came to college. I've been coping with things by drawing and I'm also trying to get my dog as an ESA. Maybe you should get one. They're there for you and me and my dog is definitely helping me whenever I visit home.

I see the parallel between what you described with the car accident and how you felt after being dumped by the person you love. How you felt that spinning, chaotic sensation then were left, alone, to look around and make sense of what just happened. It makes so much sense why you’ve been crying nonstop and hurt so badly. The dreams we make for ourselves can lead to disappointment when we’re married to it. I pray for peace in your life and complete restoration of your heart and spirit. You being honest with yourself and feeling everything has already changed something inside of you for the better. You’re strengthened by allowing your weaknesses to surface. Life can build up to a deafening scream when we’re pushing for the plans we’ve set up for ourselves but peace and release comes when we surrender to the good and perfect plans of what God has in mind. Every person who was once in your life and isn’t here anymore wasn’t needed in that plan. You’re always being protected and you are never forgotten. Continue to be the light of the earth ❤️

hey darling💛 from your previous videos, you kind of alluded to some childhood trauma. Hearing you talk about it here too, it may be some events that are happening rn related to that trauma and may be a huge trigger and unleash some of the things your brain has repressed. You can repeat a mantra: “I am safe, I have a roof over my head, I am worth keeping around and not being discarded, I am the one in charge of decisions, and not others.” While these tears and extreme anxiety may be overwhelming, it’s so good that you are releasing these things. I wish you love, healing, wellness, and a tribe or resources that can support you with all of these things.

My heart hurts for you! I totally understand that feeling you get in the morning. It's like a hairball of sadness that comes from your gut and hurls it into your chest, and you just cling to your chest and cry. It hurts a lot, and the worst part is that you feel so alone when it happens. You're totally valid in feeling this way! Don't listen to people who say, "Aw, you're always so happy this makes me sad", because it's not fair to you! You're not always going to be jolly. You've made it very far! And crying about it shows that you're breaking through! You can do this, I'm rooting for you!

I am very happy to know that you are seeking help and not isolating yourself. Our pasts stay with us in ways we can’t even imagine. So, yes, yes, yes, I understand your need to take care of you!

Hey babe. I just want to reach through the screen and hug you! These moments in life are hard. If you can, when you’re feeling like you can’t move, like you can’t stop crying, like life is so unbearably hard, try to spend time with a friend. It’s important to acknowledge your pain and your past and work through it. But whatever happened to you love, you are a kickass individual and you are so much stronger. I totally know what you mean about waking up and feeling “it’s another damn day”. I deal with my depression on a daily basis, but ever so often, the ugly monster comes out and shows out. It helps me to just cry when I need to, to bury myself in blankets and hold myself, to sit with a loved one and just let it all out. There are some things in life that try to break us. But your online community supports you and loves you and wishes all the best vibes and energy for you.

Hopefully you find a good therapist that helps you with the things you've been dealing with. I myself see a therapist and she has been a huge help. Yeah it's anxiety related to what your going through or went through. I commend you for speaking out cause speaking truth to what you are feeling is a major first step. Honestly it's time for you to see a professional, a psychotherapist/ psychologist to deal with that trauma and help you vent but also help you learn coping skills to deal with that. You are not alone, and asking for help does not make you weak. Also with confidentiality you can talk to your therapist about anything so you won't feel limited like on here. We aren't entitled to hear the whole story so just share what you feel comfortable. Yeah sometimes we really just trying to survive so you live life just surviving but then when life calms down that numb feeling dissipates and then you realize you never dealt with and healed from that trauma

Seeing you cry breaks my heart...but I do believe that crying the soul's way of releasing pressure. I think that the key to healing is to be able to objectively sit with the pain and "make friends with it", so you can ultimately discard it. As a survivor of way too damn much, I had to try and quiet my mind so that I could function and not lose it all the damn time. It DOES get better...truly it does. Sending good karma and healing your way, and I hope that you can find peace.

FRIEND we love & support you!!! *I face physically & mentally altering anxiety every single day!* I lost the only person that truly loved & understood me 2 yrs ago & the world (it seems like) has been coming after me since. My mom (from the generation where you never address ANYTHING) dismissed me even after I was attacked & we actually had it out smh which I regret bc tbh I realized she's never dealt with her own traumas. Move on she says...but that generation is the reason why these millennials are the way they are now
