Pink Floyd is the greatest band of all time. No other band combines the depth lyrically with the amazing emotion of their music. David Gilmour makes the guitar sing like no other. You have just entered the rabbit hole with Floyd. I strongly recommend continuing the journey. You won't be disappointed. One other thing, their albums are meant to be listened to from the start to finish. Many of their albums are "concepts" telling a story.

I will 100% recommend the entire Wish You Were Here album, as well as every other album from Meddle through The Division Bell. Pink Floyd is altogether different from probably anything else you'll hear. They're cerebral as well as deeply emotional. David Gilmour can bring you to tears with a single note, and, although it's not a Gilmour song, I have yet to make it through the live Pulse version of Great Gig in the Sky without crying. They're arguably the greatest band that's ever been, and they've influenced every genre of music that's come after them. If you want lyrics you might like better, try the song Dogs (Roger Waters was a genius lyricist). Please don't let the length of some of their songs dissuade you from listening because every one of them leaves you wanting more. Echoes, for instance, is a 23 minute long masterpiece. Btw, the eye masks are an excellent idea. I wish more reactors would do that when listening to Pink Floyd in particular. Their music just hits different, and when you allow it to take you away it becomes an entire experience. I very much hope you keep listening. For a decent representative sample of their music (if you don't want to listen to the whole album), I'd suggest the songs Money, Hey You, Keep Talking, Wish You Were Here, Have a Cigar, and Great Gig in the Sky. But seriously, Meddle ======> The Division Bell. I'm subscribing for more Pink Floyd ✌🏽🎸🤘🏽💗🖖🏽

Ok, you first need to watch this song performed live at the PULSE CONCERT where the guitar solo, played by David Gilmore, goes on for about 6 minutes and was amazing. Pink Floyd is known for it's live shows because they go all out with a dazzling display of light, lasers and pyrotechnics unlike anything you have ever seen at a concert. David Gilmore is a poet, he can pull more emotion out of one note than most guitarists get from the whole fret board. The Wall, Wish you Were Here, and Dark Side of the Moon are concept albums best enjoyed, at least the first listen, in their entirety. The albums tell a story, a single song without the context of the story loses some of the subtle meaning and nuances. It’s the same as “ To Pimp a Butterfly” you understand the individual songs better after you’ve listened to the whole album from start to finish.
