The cardboard with the chef hat cut out is so you can balance the uv chef hat light inside and stand it over the project, it means you don't just have to sit there holding the light for 10 solid minutes

@@ariannasearway stand it like a triangle (imagine you're making a house of cards, that kind of triangle), the base of the hat is wider in circumference than that of the base cut out shape, so it acts like a stand beneath which you place the crafted food item to cure the resin.

I love to see an alternate take, but it makes me sad that it seems like they only give you just enough for the project as it’s shown. I love Make it Mini for the fact that they often give you a few extras, probably accounting for the possibility of dropping or losing one, but it feels like there’s more room to decorate as you want to and that the pamphlet is more of a suggestion.

The one thing that always bugs me with these is the insane amount of plastic packaging. You have the plastic ball, wrapped in TWO layers of plastic, and then FOUR plastic bags on the inside - when one little cardboard box would have done the trick. The crafts are super cute tho!

Update. I did the rest of the projects I was gifted and have concerns. My cheaux pastry came with ramen directions. They also give you JUST ENOUGH supplies. No extra lol they were slightly disappointing but they look great.

Yes Jackie you would be right it is there just to try and make sure that the mini mat does not get bent, Also I am thinking that i am liking the display for this one better then the mini verse and the fact that they give you a light is awesome as well since not everyone can use the sun let alone wait for the sun to cure the resin, so far i am liking this one better and hope that they come out with more.

Another craft kit idea: something in between this bear one and your previous one with a character figurine. You could provide a few keychain figurines to customise that are not bears but are more basic (or perhaps a tiny mould?), clay so they could be turned into anything (bears, humans, different kinds of characters etc) and painting materials to decorate them. I'd really love that!

I hate to admit this but mini brands master chefs are more adorable the mini verus...but the master chef version is better for 2 reasons. 1 the realistic looks is more there and 2 you get stinking recipes!!!! ❤❤❤

I have to admit, i'm kind of disapointed? the art and explanations let think about a higher level of realisme, the packagings are rather boring (thought the marble effect was actually dirty) sure the UV lamp is a bonus, but you end up with dozen of them if you try to collect them all ^^" I'll probably will try to have one or two if I can, but I think I prefer mini verse side of fun.

To me, it's definitely worth it. It was fun to do them. I've done the apple pie(didn't have the right sauce, it was supposed to be caramel, mine was regular cream), the ramen, and i think the pork chops with roasted potatoes. All were fun. Honestly I rather do the master chef ones.

I think I managed to grab these like the day they were put out at Target. I grabbed 7 of them I didn't get a single double! The Mini Brands Gods of Evermore were extremely kind. And, no joke, the first one I opened was the apple pie! In all honesty, I was underwhelmed with these, but they're still fun.

My nozzle came off while trying to use it and the whipped topping nozzle didn't want to work for me, but that could've been operator error. I have a few more to try. I'm taking tips from you. The card board is to hold the light over the project it stands like a teepee with the hat in the cut out in the middle lol. The orange mat is to build on it so it doesn't damage your table. These projects are cute

The hat shaped cardboard Jackie...stand it up like an upside down V (tent) and have the poofed out parts of the hat balance on the cardboard, sitting each side of the hat on the inside of the V cutout. I hope I've described this clearly enough for you. I'm also hoping it works bc it's just a guess. 🤷🏼‍♀️😂 Regardless, i love Masterchef. It's a great show! 👏👌

Okay I like the idea that the light is included in the package however at the same time I’m a bit hesitant as it seems really wasteful since it says that the light lasts 20 minutes but on the instructions it shows two 10 minute uses so the light would be unusable after that one project. I think it would be better if miniverse just sold a stronger freestanding light separately than including it in the package because I don’t know if you can switch the batteries for the little hat lights.

@@laytonjames6418 I don’t mean this in like a mean or judgmental way so I hope you don’t think I’m trying to be that way but even if it does say it has a 2 hour use, it was pointed out that the light is very concentrated on one point so you would have to keep moving it to each area with resin on it. And since I’m sure someone who doesn’t use resin much isn’t going to realize that they didn’t cure the resin in the back they would have to use more time for those areas when they do finally notice that it didn’t cure it all. So unless there is a charging port or way to switch batteries even with it potentially being 2 hours (i don’t really wanna rewind to double check what amount of time it is) it still is a one use item. Plus I don’t see it being item that could be easily recycled since I’m sure the amount of energy and effort needed to separate all the stuff in it (wires and stuff) doesn’t make either consumers or corporations interested in trying to do so.

I love how the last project is so similar to a decoden style of material. It's like they've taken that principle and mini-sized it, which is awesome. I think my favorite, though, has to be the cheesecake. It looks so much like the Superstore yuzu Japanese cheesecake when you take it out of the box, and the finished project looks so lifelike ^_^ Also, for the 'pie thing', my mum always called it a cake slice, pie server, or cake server, if that helps :)

I've watched another youtuber do these and his biggest issue was the light and maybe to some degree the amount of resin. Also the one without UV resin might have been something like deco den cream. I'd actually be interested to see you do a combined project between the Mini Verse and the Mini Brands Create to make something interesting (despite the difference in details between the two)

I only recently got into making minis and mini brands were the 1st type I was able to get, Walmart didn't have mini verse. The 1st create food ball i opened was the ramen, exactly what I wanted lol! Then I opened the strawberry cake, 😮 i might be fiddling with that and mess it up, ugh, lol. Mini stuff is great OT for hands that I've absolutely mauled over the years 😂 I'm saving my pennies to buy an entire case of mini verse make it 😂

Yes, one of the recipes doesn’t include a chef’s hat. I thought it was a lark, but when I got a duplicate of the same recipe, it also didn’t have a chef’s hat. I was lucky enough to buy 15 and get every recipe and, other than that one recipe, all of the other recipes included a hat. It makes me believe it was done on purpose, otherwise… what a crazy coincidence!
