I have the 7mm 08 Mossburg which has an adjustable trigger down to 2.3 pounds.

I really considered the Mossberg Patriot but I already have it in 6.5 PRC and 7 prc. We have 3 7mm-08's. I traded a Ruger American that shot great in on this Savage for the channel. Thanks for watching and commenting! God bless

Fellow Appalachian hunter here. I plan on picking up one of these in 450 bushmaster since here in Ohio you can only use straight wall. Great review!
@chadmorrison50949 ай бұрын
I appreciate that very much! I'm not the best but I sure enjoy trying. While I did a video on the 350 legend and found a couple of great bullets in it I would hunt with, the 450 Bushmaster is my choice of the straight wall cartridges so far. And an Ohio hunt is definitely on my bucket list good lord willing! Thanks for watching

Nice review brother...I've been looking at these on Bud's. Wish they made it in a 25-06...God bless!

I appreciate that! The lord sure awesome! I wanted a threaded barrel 7mm-08 so I traded my Ruger American in on it. I will try to have the range video up this weekend.

Good evening brother! Check the action screws. Torque screws down to about 50 inch pounds. (If pillar bedded. I believe that it is. I know my Hogue stocks where. and holes and About that bolt lift. I just got a Howa Mini 6arc. It has (had) same issues. Grease the cam on the lug and work the bolt. It will break in but needs use and lube. Great Caliber!! ❤❤

I appreciate that! 7mm-08 is one of my favorite calibers for hard woods mountains rifle. I have been really looking into the 6 arc and 6 creedmoor!

@@chadmorrison5094 I had "forever" wanted a 6mm Remington since a fire d brought one ta deer camp in the mid 90's. I have owned a few 243's but they never excited me. I decided I was not gonna find a 6mm. I was gonna need ta build one. About same time 6creed was really gaining popularity and I had a tough decision. Go for the added preformance or the long time want. I went for my heart and built a 6mm Remington. BUT... I barreled it 1:8 med heavy and the action I choose was a std length Weatherby Vanguard. (Howa 1500) So I had the smith throat the chamber to accept my supplied cartridges. I took 107 Bergers a d 105 Hornadys and seated then to stay in the neck. Zero part of the bullet entered powder area. This made for a long 6mm. But I had a 3.4" box/action. Results? I can push 105/107 bullets just past 3200 fps. With 1/2 MOA accuracy!! My accuracy load is a Speer 105 spitzer 3175 fps. Its best group so far was .317 5 shots @ 100 yards. BOTH 4831 & re26 can achieve this. I just got a 6arc. Lovin it so far!!

Mee too! Same with the 280 remington. I am rebarreling a savage axis 2 30-06 in 280 remington. My problem with 6mm remington is brass. I'd love to have one or build one but the 6mm creedmoor is so close and ammo is available. I actually like the 6mm better as a hunting cartridge than I do 243 win. But that's a me thing.

I hope to have the video up by Saturday. However it's going to need a follow-up. The title is going to something like " I screwed up ". I really made a rookie mistake but hope others learn by me getting in a hurry!

Its a trident tactical I believe. While it's not an expensive break and is from ebay,I have tested a few different ones and found that they work pretty well for me for the money! But another test will be coming soon! An ultralight in 300 wsm!!!

What kind of muzzlebreak did you put on it i ordered a 300 wsm

I will look and see. I know I mention it in my range video coming out hopefully Saturday. I have wanted a 300 wsm for a few years, awesome cartridge! But I may have one coming in a few weeks to do a review on! It's a Savage but I am going to keep which one under my hat for. God bless and thank you for watching and commenting.

Thankyou for the video. I’ve notice that your stocked has a lot more movement than mine. I have it chambered in 30-06. My stock doesn’t move or twist at all. Could this affect the harmonics of the barrel? also could this affect consistency and accuracy?
@GodsCountryShootingOutdoors6 күн бұрын
@dreke1020 it really is! It is a concerning to me how it might affect accuracy. But I'm not entirely sure if I might sell it to buy the 110 trail hunter light to try out for the channel. If I keep it, I have a couple of ideas that might would help that forarm out. Thanks for watching and commenting. God bless and Merry Christmas!
