The language of snag: A "snag" is just a sausage, more specifically it's usually a beef sausage but it could be other meat. A "sanger" is a sandwich of any type. And a sandwich is something made with sliced bread. Now the basics of life are clear. A "sausage sandwich" or "sausage sanger" or "snag sanger" can only be a sausage wrapped in a slice of bread or between slices of bread. You put it in a long bread roll here and it would normally be called a "hot dog" but if you wanted a more American style hot dog you'd buy saveloy sausages, which are like frankfurters but bigger.

The upside of the gnarly roads you came across is that these places are not overwhelmed with tourists and you can have places like Cathedral Gorge to yourselves. We fitted the beast with twin gearboxes, the std three-on-the-tree coupled to a four-on-the-floor Aussie box with a shortened t/shaft which gave us 12 forward gears and 3 in reverse. This allowed 3 lower gears than 1st for climbing sand dunes. It was fitted with H/Duty springs, big off-road tires (three spares on the roof rack) and a bull bar. It looked like something out of Mad Max. Did the trip without a mechanical failure but blew six tires. Fun times indeed. Cheers. 😁

Hi Tia and Cheveyo. No outback adventure is worth the trip until something breaks down. And old trick I used to use is to inflate the spare tyre to 100 psi. Then carry a tyre infatuation hose with a valve and pressure meter on one end. And a screw on tyre valve fitting on the other. Then just top the other tyres to required pressure from the spare when you come off the track and back on the bitumen. It's cheaper than those compressors, and has no moving parts.
@OnePackWanderers3 ай бұрын
I’m curious if doing this has ever destroyed your spare, since most light vehicle tires have a max PSI rating well below 100? Luna’s tires for example aren’t supposed to be aired above 44 PSI. I do think your strategy is interesting though 🤔

Intense water crossings - expertly captured and Luna is a legend! Loving your artistic choices with the drone footage, cutaways and star lapse! Here’s hoping Repco makes good with your compressor - a reputable company that’s been around for a long while so I’m sure they will! Safe travels!

Those water crossings were very easy compared to some in the Top End😊

Purnululu is indeed a magic place. We formed a stone choir in cathedral gorge by beating together 2 rocks around the gorge. Brilliant acoustics and we felt as if we were going back in time....😊

Your videos are always brilliant, but what's struck me recently is your use of music is stellar ... I'd love to know what you used for the sunset and the drone view of the Bungle Bungles, and then the star-lapse. Next level. So glad you're clearly loving the country.

You will have to see if you can spot the southern cross in the night sky. if you don't know what it looks like, look at the stars on the Australian flag. once you can do that I will tell you how to find dew south from it. Great episode! P.S there are two bright stars that point to it.

I loved this week's video. Australia has some unique spots to go to all over Australia. It is very nice use share it with your viewers around the world. I'm sure we all thank you for taking the time to do this. I have just bought myself a 42ft sailing boat. It is currently in Darwin. I will be in Darwin very soon to sail it back home . Over the top of Australia and down the Queensland coastline a bit below Cardwell . I am looking for crew for the trip.

Thanks for the star-lapse!! I have spent very little time in the southern hemisphere so the stars are so unfamiliar! So cool. Happy Travels

Check the weather forecast, please. There is a large bucket of rain coming up in the next few days, affecting the Outback. Let's hope you do not have to divert too much like last year.

I didn't know that I wanted a star lapse, but the one that you put together certainly impressed me! Loved the drone sunset shot just before it too!

Great video. The time lapse was good to see. Tia made me laugh when going to the Bungle Bungles when she was talking about the water crossings , she said ‘we will cross that bridge when we come to it ‘. I didn’t think there would be bridges.

That shot at 13.55 gave me chills, what's so beautiful about first nation people, their dream time story, included a lot of snakes, in particular red and black snakes. So the sediment scarring on those rocks reminds me of these wonderful spiritual snakes they referred to. The snake was often referred to, especially with the masculine in their clan "walkabout" stories around this area

Assuming Cheveyo followed the operating instructions that should have come with it. Failure to follow them may give a reason to void the warranty.😢

Its weird seeing it was 10 degrees at night, which is freezing for Kimberly. You're lucky it's not the wet season. It is so humid up there in the southern summer. Dry desert heat smacking, into the tropical heat. Then, you have the added intensity of the southern hemisphere sun. it's insane how people live there.

All cheap small compressors are very limited at how long you can run them without a break. Compressing produces a lot of heat that can melt the compressor. Usually the time is between 5 and 10 minutes. Then a 15 to 20min break. The manual should specify this. If the manual does not specify the limits -> dont buy the thing!
