The language of snag: A "snag" is just a sausage, more specifically it's usually a beef sausage but it could be other meat. A "sanger" is a sandwich of any type. And a sandwich is something made with sliced bread. Now the basics of life are clear. A "sausage sandwich" or "sausage sanger" or "snag sanger" can only be a sausage wrapped in a slice of bread or between slices of bread. You put it in a long bread roll here and it would normally be called a "hot dog" but if you wanted a more American style hot dog you'd buy saveloy sausages, which are like frankfurters but bigger.

Ahhh, guys, this and the last couple of videos have made me a bit emotional 🥹 The northwest is my happy place and I can’t wait to get back. The colours, the sounds, the serenity, the night sky. Thank you 🙏🏼! You’ve caught the Outback 4WD bug. With beefed up suspension and All Terrain tyres (and a functioning compressor! 😂)there are so many more epic landscapes you can visit. The upside of the gnarly roads you came across is that these places are not overwhelmed with tourists and you can have places like Cathedral Gorge to yourselves. You are so right … many of the special locations across the entire Outback have a spiritual feel about them … and you do need to stop and reflect that Aboriginal people have been visiting these places for well over 40,000 years. Thank you again. 😘 to you both.

@@ricochay3510 It's amazing the places people used to go in regular vehicles. All these places have been visited numerous times in regular sedans and station wagons. As a kid in the late 70s our family went around Australia in a regular sedan towing a caravan, there was basically nowhere dad wouldn't point his 2wd sedan. Back then you hooked your caravan to your Kingswood, Falcon or Valiant and drove everywhere. Usually heavily overloaded, but no-one seemed to care, people made do with what they had.

@@chrisgregory4796 Hi Chris. Love the comment. Back in the mid-seventies five of us teenage idiots drove a 1966 Holden HR wagon around Aus, back when there was very little tarmac, just endless corrugations and red dust. We fitted the beast with twin gearboxes, the std three-on-the-tree coupled to a four-on-the-floor Aussie box with a shortened t/shaft which gave us 12 forward gears and 3 in reverse. This allowed 3 lower gears than 1st for climbing sand dunes. It was fitted with H/Duty springs, big off-road tires (three spares on the roof rack) and a bull bar. It looked like something out of Mad Max. Did the trip without a mechanical failure but blew six tires. Fun times indeed. Cheers. 😁

It was called the Wollemi Pine and was thought to be extinct. Following the discovery the location was kept publicly secret until enough seeds were collected to propagate them. Now the gorge has been named Wollemi Gorge. You can actually buy the tree in retail outlets now for a few hundred dollars. ( a living fossil )

Hi Tia and Cheveyo. No outback adventure is worth the trip until something breaks down. And old trick I used to use is to inflate the spare tyre to 100 psi. Then carry a tyre infatuation hose with a valve and pressure meter on one end. And a screw on tyre valve fitting on the other. Then just top the other tyres to required pressure from the spare when you come off the track and back on the bitumen. It's cheaper than those compressors, and has no moving parts.

I’m curious if doing this has ever destroyed your spare, since most light vehicle tires have a max PSI rating well below 100? Luna’s tires for example aren’t supposed to be aired above 44 PSI. I do think your strategy is interesting though 🤔

Red sausages are either Frankfurts or Hot Dogs, but more likely Frankfurts. Tia, if you’re lactose intolerant, buy some rolled oats and you can have oat milk every day and enjoy the soaked oats as well! 😋🥰 Hmmm, don’t be surprised if a future Mazda is called the Mazda Luna! 😜👍🇦🇺

Just something quick if your walking through bush land anywhere good idea to grab a stick while walking hitting the grass and ground so if there are any snakes or anything it usually scares them away and leaves you alone as well just a tip

OK..my favourite video so far this journey guys :) Still amazed at you wearing sandals !! OMG what would Aussie trekkers be thinking lol Great drone work (again) showing creek crossings and emphasising the area of the Bungles. Mazda will be pleased to see how Luna is being driven so well by you both and I'm sure Repco will give you a refund or upgrade on the defunct air compressor now you've mentioned them in this having nearly 77K Subscribers!!.:) Your trip reminded me why I didn't take my Toyota Altise on that road! Looking forward to your Lake Argyle and Ord River experience and Kununurra. Happy Trails :)

I've been to the Bungles Bungles and taken a helicopter flight over the area. I'm fascinated by the scenery, the rock formations. It'a a pity you've traveled so far but failed to fly drone over the majestic Bunglees Bungles.

@travelgirl747 so much diversity in a country hey? :) I’ve lived in a couple of states in Australia and it’s normal to hear hey at the end of sentences, but I’m sure it’s not popular in all areas, just like how I’ve never heard anyone say sanger or snag. One things for certain on their comments is aussies sure do like to talk about their way of saying things 😂

Your videos are always brilliant, but what's struck me recently is your use of music is stellar ... I'd love to know what you used for the sunset and the drone view of the Bungle Bungles, and then the star-lapse. Next level. So glad you're clearly loving the country.

You will have to see if you can spot the southern cross in the night sky. if you don't know what it looks like, look at the stars on the Australian flag. once you can do that I will tell you how to find dew south from it. Great episode! P.S there are two bright stars that point to it.

I loved this week's video. Australia has some unique spots to go to all over Australia. It is very nice use share it with your viewers around the world. I'm sure we all thank you for taking the time to do this. I have just bought myself a 42ft sailing boat. It is currently in Darwin. I will be in Darwin very soon to sail it back home . Over the top of Australia and down the Queensland coastline a bit below Cardwell . I am looking for crew for the trip.

That shot at 13.55 gave me chills, what's so beautiful about first nation people, their dream time story, included a lot of snakes, in particular red and black snakes. So the sediment scarring on those rocks reminds me of these wonderful spiritual snakes they referred to. The snake was often referred to, especially with the masculine in their clan "walkabout" stories around this area

Its weird seeing it was 10 degrees at night, which is freezing for Kimberly. You're lucky it's not the wet season. It is so humid up there in the southern summer. Dry desert heat smacking, into the tropical heat. Then, you have the added intensity of the southern hemisphere sun. it's insane how people live there.

All cheap small compressors are very limited at how long you can run them without a break. Compressing produces a lot of heat that can melt the compressor. Usually the time is between 5 and 10 minutes. Then a 15 to 20min break. The manual should specify this. If the manual does not specify the limits -> dont buy the thing!
