Finally! I made my Winifred Sanderson Dress!

Come along with me as I make my Winnifred Sanderson Cosplay Dress.
This week I am finally getting to tackle the three layers of Winifred Sanderson's Dress for my cosplay. Ideally I would have used silk for my Chemise and Kirtle, however that is not in my budget, so please accept this version as the closest to what I can make on my budget!!! I love Winnie, and the entire Hocus Pocus franchise, so for me, getting this one right or as close to, is a huge deal for me.

Not only are those brooches from Salem she was able to get somebody from the prop department to get them as accurate as possible, also they are being used in Hocus Pocus 2 on Ginger Minj's drag Winifred costume.

I didn't see any blips in raw files, BUT having the view screen on, so I can see what Im recording uses a lot of battary, about half a percent per minute, where as without the view screen was closer to 1 percent for like 10 minutes of filming.

yeah, You could even add a 4th layer if you wanted to with the cloak. and she even has pantaloons, so there is a lot to her costume.

The 3 legs is probably a triskelion. It's a very old symbol (it's been found as early as the Neolithic).

The dress looks great. :) Did Rit tell you how to mix the dyes, or did you experiment yourself? Good tip about the table runner. When it comes to unusual fabrics you might have to get creative. I wouldn't have used silk either, it's too expensive.

I experimented with the dyes on this one, but I used their color recipe chart on their websight as my starting point. And a big YES to silk being too expensive.
