Finally in a Cybertruck! So disappointed….

I just did a test drive of the cybertruck with my kids in Raleigh. They are begging me to get it and I will. I loved it.

My CT is quiet as a church mouse. Drove me me yesterday 330 miles on a single charge at 75 mph. Lots force and very comfy. I don't know why your experience is so different. BTW I also own a Rivian R1S a model S AND LIGHTNING, THE CT IS BY FAR MY FAVORITE NOT TO MENTION THE AMAZING FSD.

There is a difference between sound and noise, the electric motors on the cybertruck have a great sound. This guy just doesn't like it.

He does have some valid points. A car half the price doesn't have all those creaking noises, miss aligned panels, and slow customer service. Maybe it's just that car but that unexpectable if you are going to buy it.

Just got mine 2 days ago....ride is super smooth and quiet. It is effectively a luxury car that can be driven like a sports car or a truck. Not perfect at anything, but very good at almost everything. NOTHING else compares.

Just a note - I test drove one and there was a ton of wind noise BUT went to another location and test drove a 2nd one - it was extremely quiet (something must have not been sealed up in 1st one). Being a truck guy in Texas, the Cybertruck was extremely quiet and rode fantastic (2nd one I drove).

I just did a test drive and didn’t experience any noise issues, it was comfortable on bumps, and the efficiency wasn’t that bad. 🤷‍♂️

I test-drove a Cybertruck, and it was not bad. I also test-drove the Sierra Denali EV, and it was nice, but the software was terrible. There are pretty serious tradeoffs between the two and reasons to go either direction. One thing that threw my spouse off was her question about the battery. Tesla batteries can be serviced by a 3rd party, and the battery warranty is 8 years or 150k miles. The GMC battery is not serviceable; to replace it, they said it would cost 60-70k, and the warranty is 8 years or 100k miles. GMC, even with the crappy software, also does not support CarPlay or Android Auto. Telsa does not support those either, but at least their software is way better. The biggest plus for the GMC Sierra Denali is the range, frunk, and truck bed. The biggest plus for Tesla is the software, tonneau cover, easier fit in the garage, and better performance.

Interesting Experience. I've demo driven 2 different CyberTrucks, one at Mohegan, and one in Milford Connecticut. The difference was noticeable between the 2 trucks. The CT at Mohegan was very smooth, and very quiet. The one in Milford was quite different. I noticed a lot more motor noise, a pump was running for quite a while, probably for the suspension. It led me to ask if the Milford CT was early production... nope. So I can concur that these can be noisy... I've experienced it personally. It leads me to have concerns with build and quality control having experienced 2 very different feeling vehicles.

Thanks for posting this, explains a lot! I’ve been seeing conflicting comments that don’t correlate with my experience. I can even hear in my video how loud the truck was…. I’m thinking how can you say it’s quiet if you can actually hear how loud it is while I’m talking? LOL I didn’t have issues with ride quality it felt comfortable but yes for a new truck with 92 miles on it… build quality was terrible.

Finally, someone who's being honest and not trying to justify their poor choice of vehicle. The efficiency is bound to be terrible, it ways a crazy amount, so the rolling resistance is going to be really high. This is why you need such a large battery to not go very far.

14:56 If you need a truck it’s sounds like from your comments you would be better off with the Denali Edition 1. It has a midgate, range, 4-wheel steering and on board power. Since you think the Cybertruck AWD is sloooow at 0-60mph at 4.1 sec the Denali will be even slooower (haha), but honestly it’s still plenty fast for a truck which is the same as the Raptor R. You just need to make a list of Pros and Cons and make a decision and stick with it and not jump around like you did on Cybertruck.

Beast might be different, has a different motor up front. I have a Model X Plaid and its nearly silent just a hint of EV whine on acceleration but this particular CT was very loud in comparison especially on regen. Maybe 3x louder than my X. You can hear it in the video.

@ I guess that’s possible. I don’t know if I would judge the efficiency of a demo vehicle either, let’s face that nobody is driving it efficiently. I do know there’s a lot of critics for the CB. From someone coming from a 2023 Ford raptor there really isn’t much that I feel like I’m missing other than a cupholders and better visibility out the back. I wouldn’t prefer any other vehicle.

I cancelled my CT after the test drive. I found it to be cheaply built, dinky steering wheel, seats were ok but not as good as my Model S, noisy and rough ride.
