It definitely transforms into a gundam right? Seriously, I don't find it surprising in the slightest that Japanese engineers could design an advanced jet engine. The powerplant is also probably the simplest and easiest challenge in creating a 6th generation fighter. Just think. You could conceivably use a special forces team (tier 1) like seals, ranger recon, British SAS, Delta, recon Marines, and insert them a few miles from any airbase. The unit using a switchblade kamikaze drone could theoretically destroy a multi billion dollar aircraft in exchange for a six thousand dollar drone. Takes less then 5 minutes to set each drone up. So a ten team squad could conceivably send a salvo of 10 drones let’s say every 15 minutes for set up, flight time of the drone, and then set up for another strike if needed. That’s using the smaller style drone. Using the bigger drone, granted you’re limited by the weight. (About 50 pounds per) to strike hangers ect ect, because of the bigger bang. I’d use a combination of both. Using a 2 -10 men tier 1 teams I’d use 3 of the larger drones, and 14 of the smaller backpack sized drones. One team I’d use for security and to hump in extra rations, gear (AT-rockets ect ect) and ammunition so the drone team will have what they need after using the drones. If possible I’d have them bring in 2 additional heavy drones. It would be nicer if you could set up a cache of these beforehand, but I wouldn’t rely on that. The drone team I would have just basic 2-3 days of gear, weapons, food that sort of stuff. And of course the drones. After using the drones they would use the extra gear brought by the other team. I reckon they could get 2 salvos off before having to get out of dodge, and/or be extracted quickly. The heavy drones 5 in total would be launched by the 2nd team with two being launched by the team bring the extra gear. The heavy drones would target headquarters, pilot barracks, mechanics barracks, and maintenance hangar. 2 drones for the headquarters and 2 for the pilot barracks, one for the mechanics barracks, and one for the hanger. I would have both teams launch the small drones at individual aircraft. Starting at the 6th generation aircraft first. Then 5th generation aircraft. That is dependant on the dispersion of the targeted aircraft. 5th and 6th generation fighter jets don’t take much damage to disable or destroy them. A couple pieces of jagged metal going through the avionics, hydraulics, and/or other sensitive areas of the aircraft isn’t good for them. It could create collateral fires ect ect. If this is possible and one drone can destroy multiple aircraft I would also target fuel vehicle and the staging areas for them. Target list would be: 1. Pilots, 2. Headquarters personnel, 3. Maintenance personnel, 4. Hangar aircraft and maintenance personnel, 5. 6th generation aircraft, 6. 5th generation aircraft, 7. Essential equipment such as fuel hangars, and the vehicles. Doing this at multiple airbases at the same time would devastate the economy, and qualified people especially the pilots, destroy the enemies morale, and help, if not create air superiority in the general area. Aircraft costly and not really to difficult to replace. Pilots and essential personnel costly and not easily replaced or can they be replaced quickly. With that local/area air superiority it would be fairly easy to extract the special forces teams using your air assets. Attack helicopters and cruise missiles could clear ground to anti air forces fairly easy. Without air superiority you lose. Israel has proven that time after time in the Middle East. British and American forces used, and proven that you can insert special forces deep inside of enemy territory. Japan learnt what happens when you lose your best trained and experienced pilots. Germany learnt about not having air superiority.

I wonder when the military will begin using plasma propelled missiles? With something like this type of missile the projectile wouldn't necessarily need fuel as it could create it's own plasma energy to propel it hypersonically plus the aircraft also would be able to store more missiles than commonly done in a fighter as well if the fighter had plasma propulsion then it too could travel at hypersonic speeds of Mach 10 to Mach 30. Perhaps the TR-3B's that the military has can already do all of this secretly without anyone really knowing, their ace up their sleeve so to speak.

The problem I can see Japan having in the future is totally relying on other countries for farming and food production. It’s such a small country and densely populated, they are going to run out of land for farming. If your food supply gets cut off for any reason (disaster, war, drought...etc) the entire country could fall.

So... where is the fighter? The clear picture or photos?
@stevenhoman22532 жыл бұрын
UHM. I think someone messed up when looking for an image of the Typhoon engine (By about 80 years) The engine shown was a Bristol Napier 24H cylinder, sleeve valve engine.OOPS.

Hell yea Japan, hope the Tempest works out for you and other NATO countries
@Farweasel2 жыл бұрын
Indeed. Doubt the French/German/other EU states consortium will abandon their interest in a the Dasault/Airbus fighter project *even* if Tempest is superior 'though. The EU regard Britain leaving the EU as a dire insult and one which calls into question many of the EU's claims about itself. Political pride often overrules military good sense.

3D printing isn't better. It's extremely slow. But easier to execute. Modern machining is just as precise, and much faster, but requires more tooling to execute (and more factory space).

@monjurealahisaiyan75862 жыл бұрын
The most interesting fact is that Japan is taking help of india 🇮🇳 for this fighter jet. India will provide more than 40% technology for this fighter jet. Japan ex PM seek the help of india for this fighter jet. Soon, US and other western countries will also seek the help of india for their 6th generation fighter jet. Already india🇮🇳 has much ability to make a fighter jet like f22 raptor or f35.

I don't like the idea of unmanned fighters at all. Drones are one thing, jets or heavy bombers are another. I just imagine someone sending out their bombers, only to have them return home, and start bombing because they have been hacked by an enemy nation, or group.

They should have invested on a Hpersonic Missile that could travel at Mach 12 and can be launched by a stealth drone. With a nuclear warhead, Russia will have second thought to start a nuclear war.
@jamham692 жыл бұрын
its already the case that Nuclear weapons have no answer and no countermeasure. A nuclear armed submarine is an existential threat to anyone, anywhere in the world, at any time. Anything more is just overkill.

Footnote: is it not true that Spacex has been using 3D printing for several years in its rocket engines--an application that is at least as stressful at this one? Notwithstanding that small nitpick, this is still a very interesting video.
