You need a two motion shot and high set point for this to be a part of your game. Size and athleticism helps, too. But working on this footwork helps you to get comfortable with a quick look at the rim even if you can’t consistently go to these moves in a live situation.

Are you validating that it's ok for a player to have a long range one-motion shot and a mid-range two motion?
@FrengoBoi
@FrengoBoi 6 жыл бұрын
Vic Lavar yes you should have enough arm strength for a 2 motion middy
@PyroInferno110
@PyroInferno110 6 жыл бұрын
Doesn't really need to be two motion tho, thats only because of MJ's hang time which is why hes two motion, people would try to block his jumpshot so using his hang time and strength to keep the ball in his hands is why he has to do two motion...but its possible with one motion too just need to be quick with your jumpshot

I am 5’4 and about 100 pounds and in 9th grade. I have a problem in shooting which is when I shoot I don’t have enough strength to just shoot with my arm and I use my body force. When I shoot the place where I jump from is different where I land. I really need some advice on how to shoot with form correctly
6 жыл бұрын
Aishabibi Kureshi Landing on a different spot isn’t bad per se. If you look at some great shooters, they might land with their feet a bit more forward, in a kind of tilting motion. This, done correctly, can release some tension from your upper body and increase your shooting arc. Don’t jump leaning forward, but up and try to land with your feet slightly forward. Also, most of your shooting force should be done with your legs and transfered to the shooting hand. Both of these things might help you increase your range.

ajit shrestha, no not really, you just have to be able to create that space between you and your defender. If you can make that space, then you should be able to knock down that open shot.
