I remember when this song came out. It was a period where both Michael and Janet got attacked so much by the paparazzi and tabloids with false rumors about their lives, and this was kind of a reaction to that. So it was really their way of screaming in near despair: "please stop this".

When I first saw this, it was the moment it debuted on MTV. And I don’t think young people now can truly appreciate what Jackson mania was like. I understand people get excited about their favorite artists, but there is simply nothing like what Michael Jackson and Janet Jackson could generate for sheer desperate enthusiasm. We lost our minds when this landed in our living room. It changed fashion for years. It changed everything. This is a masterpiece.

Mama didn’t have money but she gave me stickers of him to put on my folder for school as she knew how much I love him. I was made fun of by many other children as I didn’t fit in. I’m Creole and I was a misfit as I’m also an Artist.... run in the family. Anyway, the other children would make fun of me because I has sticker of him all over my books. I told them he was the most wonderful Man and if I were ever to Marry I would like him to be my husband. 🦋💗💃🏻 anyway. So wonderful to see people love him beyond all the lies that were told about him, people trying to use him for his money. He is and will always be the most beautiful person. 💓🌹
